Just tried this place for the first time tonight and it was very good. We were welcomed with some chai, very friendly service and great recommendations. We initially went for the momo dumplings and ended up getting the Gobi Manchurian, samosas, chicken Sekuwa, and the momo sampler. All the dishes were amazing. Seasoned perfectly. The chicken was tender and delicious. Everything was great. The lovely person who served us made us feel extremely welcome and he even gave us some riddles to have fun with at the end of the night. This was a fantastic experience and I am really happy this place exists here in Edmonton. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Delicious food and great service! We got the momo sampler and the Goat Nepali Thali. All 4 styles of momo were great. My favourite was the one covered in a curry sauce. Momos also came with three dipping sauces a super spicy one, a sweet one, and a medium curry one. The Thali was really good but next time I'd just the goat curry entre or the butter chicken. 5/5 would def recommend.
Best tibet food i had between Toronto and edmonton. We ordered momo sampler, thali, chowmein, bbq chicken appetizersekuwa, and butter chicken. My favourite were the chowmein, momo and bbq chicken. They all taste amazing. The server is handsome and funny and spoke mandarin to my parents forgot to take photos until its almost done cause it was too delicious.
Loved this place! I’ve been to Nepal and this food was totally authentic. Every dish we ordered was delicious especially the momos!, and chai to finish the meal was perfect. Owner was super friendly and gave our kids a free treat as we waited for our meal. Portions are large with surprisingly low prices. Will be back again!
Been on a quest to try momo places in every city I travel to. Came to Edmonton for 3 days and felt should try this restaurant. Let me tell you, after the first bite, I was thrown back into a nostalgic trip of tastes I had back home. Tried the basic steam momos, and they were so damn good! Been living in Toronto for past 4 years and between Toronto and Edmonton and various other places. This place had me. Would probably come to Edmonton again just for this
Great service and there's parking at the back. The owner provided great recommendations and was extremely friendly! Was also offered Nepalese spiced tea the moment we got in! Food had great portions. We tried the chicken sekuwa and the pork Momo platter after the owner's recommendation chicken sekuwa comes sizzling on a hot plate and the Momo platter comes with 4 differently prepared Momo's with 4 each. I particularly loved the sweet sauce it came with. Chicken sekuwa is juicy and flavourful and stays hot for a long time so you can enjoy nice long conversations and still have hot food!
So yummy! We had the chicken jhol momo, steam pork momo, and pork sekuwa and everything was delicious! The red chutney was very spicy but flavorful but my favourite was the orange chutney, it was about a medium spice level and really good flavor. The sekuwa was so flavorful! Definitely recommend you visit! The owners are also so kind and welcoming too
Amazing food and outstanding service !! We had the gobi manchurian, the momo chicken platter and the chicken chowmein … every-single-thing was amazing! Especially the gobi manchurian .. ive had manchurian at sooo many places but this was the best one. I honestly would’ve given this place 5 stars even if the service was bad because thats how good their food is, but now im not sure if i loved the food more or the service! Rajeeb treated us amazing and was so so nice to our toddler! They’ve def made us a loyal customer ! Sorry about the half eaten gobi manchurian pic… we kept eating and forgot to take pics
Service was great. It was my first time here and they recommended the momo sampler and BBQ chicken. The food has a good and unique spicy flavor. It's not overly saltyI am usually picky about this or too bland. Momo sampler is great way to try out different momos. Definitely will come back to try more dishes later. And they offered a free birthday cake it made me happy
I tried Thamel and Nepalese food for the first time today and I was not disappointed. The pork Momo's were the best dumplings I've ever had, they are served with a tomato based chutney and honestly ask for extra of it, it's excellent. I ordered the Momo sampler and it was a good way to try out all the flavours so the next time I can be more targeted to what to get, for me it was the tandoori momo and the pan fried ones. The staff at the restaurant were super nice and explained all the sauces and the momo's. I will definitely be back to try more things off thier menu and have told all my friends to try it out as well. Parking is out back there is a parking lot and a door.
