A fantastic hidden gem. Large portions, friendly staff and great prices and value. While I can't say if their Shrimp Pad Thai is "genuine Thai" style food, for $13.75 and their generous portion sizes, I will definitely become a regular customer. Definitely worth taking a look if you're nearby!
Ordered chicken green curry. Hardly any flavor, tasted like generic noodles with a bit of random spice. Mushy texture, didn’t seem fresh, about 3/4 minutes of the ‘mixed vegetables’ were onions. Large portion size for the price, though.
Worse Thai food I have ever had. I did not expect to be very good but at least some taste should be there. Not recommend at all
I ordered padthai . I got ketchup noodles. No hope for them. No wonder there were no customers! There are absolutely remotely no Thai flavours. Call yourselves Ketchupgo!
Liked the beef thai fried rice. Asked for it to be as spicy as they can possibly make it, but it was not up to par.
Food is great, very flavourful and gluten free. But the staff was hard to deal with and lazy, I find they close every hour for 45 minutes to use their phones. Extremely disappointing service. Vegetarian options: A lot of selection for proteins dietary needs which was nice. Staff was not
My absolute favourite and BEST place to eat at in the mall. One box is usually way more than enough to fill you up. I haven't tried most of their noodle options, though I regularly devour their curries and it tastes bloody delicious every time. I've also done takeaways multiple times from here and the food is always of quality. There is one tall and skinny asian boy working here whom I always prefer to have him cook for me as I demand for extra curry sauce and peanuts on my meal and he has never denied or charged extra for this request. This is what great business ethics look like to keep loyal customers returning. In spite of all the good stuff mentioned above, I will say that I have noticed their quantity of food is not exactly consistent every time, it is sometimes way more than satisfactory that I am unable to finish it in one sitting and other times it is just adequately enough. All in all, For me, as long as I live in Victoria, I will keep coming back here for more provided that the current level of service is maintained throughout future orders. Thank you, ThaiGo for some of the most pleasurable dinner meals!
Tried 2 dishes from Hillside and was really disappointed . I know what you are thinking , it is from the mall - it was doomed from the start , but I have had great thai food from inside a mall in the past , so gave it a chance . They asked me how spicy I wanted both dishes - which I said medium . Neither dish had any spice at all - in fact they were both very very bland . I added chili oil and soya sauce to the pad sew , because it was like eating plain noodles . The pad thai just tastes like straight up ketchup on rice noodles . Really really not worth the money - skip this place .
Food was really tasty and pretty fast, Kyle was super kind too. Good service!
Just ate the coconut curry shrimp special for lunch and it was DELICIOUS. I ordered high spice level for myself with noodles. MY BOX WAS FULL lol the shrimp was not skimpy the were big prawns and I wasn't counting but there were enough! The noodles were delicious. I loved it, now I'm going to me making excuses to come to try other items on the menus
