Ordered the yellow curry and panang curry both with chicken and the boat soup noodles. The curries were creamy and delicious paired with rice. The panang curry is more light and fragrant due to the Thai basil but the yellow curry was more rich and savory. The portion sizes were very generous. The boat soup noodles was an acquired taste, with a tinge of sourness of the soup after adding the recommended sauce. There was a very enthusiastic lady serving that was very kind, made us felt very welcome.
Got off my flight from the east coast, and searched for the nearest Thai restaurant. I’m so glad that this place popped up. The family is super friendly and provided great service! Their food was comparable to the Thai food you’d get in northern Jersey/NYC, and they actually understand how to make your food SPICY when requested. We were both super satisfied with our food. I would definitely recommend Thai-U-Up if you’re around the area and craving some Thai food.
The food.... expensive for what you get. Crispy garlic chicken was neither crispy or garlicy and was over cooked and dry, sad. The golden noodles I ordered with beef extra $ came in a big clump/wad the beef was tough and chewy one piece looked burned. The vegetables I really enjoyed, crispy yet slightly cooked. The peanut sauce for noodles reminded me more of peanut butter than a sauce, sweet creamy and peanuty. Portions were on the small side, white rice was just fine. Spice level was exactly how I ordered. People were friendly.
Fantastic! I am from Atlanta and try to find this food truck when ever I travel to Seattle.
Unfortunately it's not worth what you pay for. Some things are good, others aren't, so you pay a lot and the consistency just isn't there. I've decided that it's worth the drive to Renton for better Thai food. I'm not going to say where because they are busy enough, lol.Food: 3/5
The flavor tasted more Chinese then chicken, crispy garlic tasted like orange chicken without the orange flavor, and phad Thai was bland. Funny because I knew the food wouldn’t be good as soon as my husband brought it to the car and sure enough, it sucked! The only reason I ordered from here was because I thought it was Krungthep, only to find it I ordered at the wrong place. It’s also concerning that when I placed the order crispy garlic takes a lot longer to make, she said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Should’ve been a clue that I was calling the wrong place, but I was rushing. This makes me believe they pre make the food, like Panda or a buffet. I suggest you spend your hard earned $$ at Krungthep, for authentic thai food.
10 out of 10. Spice level was a 3 and delicious. Meal was well balanced with meat veggies, and noodles. Excited to have a thai restaurant near home. Will be supporting this place during covid times! Also they threw in free eggrolls/springs the last time we went. Ill be seeing you soon!
I really enjoyed the place. The people there were extremely nice and knowledgeable about the restaurant and food truck. The food is fresh and very high quality. You however are not able to get red curry from the good truck. You can only get it at the main restaurant. Both locations use square which is a payment option.
I would almost give them a 3 , spice is correct but the portion and taste just ain't it for the price they are selling it for. How is this almost 16$?
I will put it up against any of the Posh places. So much flavor you need extra rice. They are closer than the 2 places DT or or in South Center I frequent. Vegetarian options: Classic Thai Vegetarian options, meatless or tofu. Parking: Plenty of Spaces, seating might be the limit once people start dining in more.
