Honestly I love this place but tonight I’m not very happy I’ve only had this 1 bad experience so it’s not going to lower how I feel about them!nI didn’t get both my hand rolls in my ordernAlso my sushi had just the tail in the tempura roll in the 2 end pieces hoping it was just a bad night !
We had a very mixed experience at this sushi and Thai restaurant.nThe place can be a six star if they really put their efforts together.nIt was a slow Monday and all the window seats were available, but they guided us to a darker area near a wall that was chipped all along the length of the restaurant. I recommend a piece of molding to completely cover the eye sore. There were some nice plants and real fish that saved the look a bit at least.nTea was served upon demand quickly. However, this isn't how I like to regulate the temperature of my sips. I prefer a thermos left on the table.nNow the food part. It could have been much less salty, fried and full of MSG. I know it's AYCE and this is fairly common, but some of the sauces and items were so salty they were not edible. It's too bad since the beef was very above average had it not been drowned in sauce. The soup menu was extensive, but they all tasted below average. The Thai lemon soup was actually spoiled, and the waiter was disrespectful by claiming I don't like it. Thai lemon soup is my favorite and I am extremely familiar with all the restaurants variations.nHowever, there were a few items that were actually better than any of the places I tried. The shrimp Tempura was excellent, and the mango salad was unique. Had they salted the mango a bit less it would have been extraordinary. The regular salad was also very fresh.nFinally the dessert was fine, except the fried banana was sliced in thin pieces. This would be great if you wanted to simply have a dessert after a light meal, but thin battery slices after an all you can eat meant more heavy batter than actual banana. The strawberry ice-cream, mango cake and chocolate cake was good and a pleasant less common find.nFinally, the owners were extremely nice and ready to help. If I would have started the dinner with talking to them instead of the employees things could have been much better.nThey were helpful in solving the food issues and problems with the tablet. Note: if you remove an item on the tablet it still goes in the cart, so you may end up with more than you think. Overall I think this place will actually improve as time goes by, and has potential to be the top restaurant in the city.
Great atmosphere, very nice staff and service. However the food tasted okay. I ordered a Bangkok Street Style Pad Thai which i found tasted a bit too sour and the flavor profiles did not match my expectations. Overall this was a decent place with clean and amazing atmosphere but the taste wasn't there.
Have to be honest and say this was one the worst sushi restaurant experiences I’ve had. Not from the area so we wanted something without a reservation. Really wish I waited for the Italian place across the street.nnFish didn’t taste fresh. Sushi rolls were awful. We didn’t eat even half of what we ordered. All you can eat came quickly so I can’t complain about that.nnOur friend had to wait until the end of our ‘all you can eat’ meal for her meal from the menu. She must have waited over half hour to get her meal. She hated the taste and had lost her appetite after waiting so long. She ate two bites and couldn’t continue.nnI do think they tried but they need some work on improving the quality of food and service. I respect family businesses trying to make it but they also need feedback to learn where to improve.nnWouldn’t recommend nor will I be back when I’m in the area.
My fiancé and I come here every week, once a week, and the food is usually pretty fresh and enjoyable. Tonight, we came in, the only people in the restaurant, everything was going great, until I found a long black hair in my mango ice cream. For reference, I have blonde hair. To make matters worse, the hair was not just directly on top, but stuck in the ice cream. The lady took it away, brought a new one, to which I had maybe a bite of and my appetite for the night was gone. We were never offered a discount or anything for the gross long black hair stuck in my ice cream.nWe go here every week, and have been for a couple months now. Not sure we will be anymore. I just wish the customer service would have been better. I get mistakes happen, maybe hairnets could be used when plating food, but it’s more the fact that it was dismissed as if it almost didn’t happen.nThe ladies are always wonderful here, just kind of turned off after tonight’s service unfortunately .
