’ve been to Thai Siam a few times now, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite places for Thai food. The food always tastes fresh and packed with flavour — you can really tell they use quality ingredients and cook each dish with care.nnEvery meal I’ve had here has been delicious — from the vibrant curries to the stir-fried classics, everything has great balance and depth without feeling overly salty or heavy. The portion sizes are really generous, too — you definitely get good value, and there’s often enough for leftovers!nnThe staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, which makes it a great spot for a laid-back dinner or a casual lunch. If you’re craving authentic, tasty Thai food with bold flavours and hearty portions, Thai Siam is definitely worth checking out!
We had an awesome dinner at Thai Siam Restaurant. We ordered Authentic Thai Papaya Salad Som Tam, Larb Duck Salad Larb Ped and Pad-Thai Jumbo Shrimp Pad Thai Goong Sod. The food tasted so fresh and delicious! My favourite was the Thai Papaya Salad Som Tam… it was a refreshing dish with tastes like spicy, salty, sour and sweet all coming together beautifully in a zesty savoury flavour. We wanted some Steamed Sticky Rice to eat with the yummy Larb Duck Salad but they sold out, so we ordered some Steamed Coconut Rice instead. The Pad Thai Jumbo Shrimp tasted amazing… a balance explosion of umami flavours! Nice ambience, amazing staff and delicious food… we will definitely come back!
Thai Siam Restaurant has some delicious dishes that really stand out. The chicken skewers with peanut sauce were excellent, and the pork with soy sauce was full of flavour. The deep-fried fish was another highlight, crispy and tasty with a nice spicy-sweet sauce.nnHowever, a few dishes were disappointing. The Pad Thai was very bland, with none of the usual sweet-and-sour balance you expect. The Tom Yum soup was extremely spicy but didn’t have the signature sour flavour, and the green curry came out too watery.nnThat said, our service was awesome, very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our meal.nnOverall, some great dishes and excellent service, but the food quality was a bit mixed.
AMAZING food! Wow!nWe ordered pad Thai, chicken skewers that peanut sauce is incredible, Panang curry, coconut rice, and the pork jowl.nI also ordered an iced Thai tea.nEverything was exceptional! We were so full and were still able to bring quite a bit home with us.nPortions were large and every dish was perfectly seasoned and balanced.nWe live in Blackfalds but, we will definitely come back again when we are in Calgary.nOur server I wish I could remember his name was so attentive, friendly, and really seemed to enjoy working there. He always had a big smile on his face and even his manners when answering the telephone were impeccable!nWhat a wonderful experience!
Came here on two separate occasions in late 2025 and was quite impressed by the food. Our favorites include the chicken skewers $16, panang curry $22, and Thai coconut chicken soup $20. The restaurant is extremely busy even on weekdays, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. My biggest complaint is the rice; regardless of whether you're ordering coconut rice or plain steamed rice, it's $7 for a tiny little container! Rice is an inexpensive Asian staple and we were really disappointed with the skimpy portion size. Next time, we will probably do take-out and cook our own rice at home instead.
