We try many new Thai restaurants. This one is the best in Calgary by far! The medium spicy level is VERY spicy, be warned. We found the perfect spice level to be mild. Everything was so fragrant and wellnprepared, the panang curry was sooo yummy. Service was quick and friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Hands down best Thai food in Calgary! I’ve been to Thailand and I can vouch their dishes taste the closest to authentic Thai! Each dish we ordered was delicious! I really appreciated how their portions were actually shareable without being overpriced! Thai restaurants in Calgary provide low portions but high price, Thai Siam’s portions were much more than the average Thai restaurants here! Excited to come back and try other items on the menu!nnAlso shoutout to the staff! So friendly and provided quick service!
Reservations are a must here but it is worth it! I’ve tried several times to make a same-day reservation for a weekend night but was unsuccessful. With a couple of days of pre-planning, I was finally able to secure one for our party of six.nnOur booth was cozy for 6 small to medium sized people, but was made even more squeezy with elbows going up trying to get at the crazy flavorful and thoughtfully presented dishes.nnThe staff was attentive and kind for the number of patrons they were tasked to take care of.nn100% would try to get reservations again but maybe on a weeknight next time.
This is one of the best Thai food I eat in Calgary. I love all the food we order. We ordered the grilled chicken skewers, fried flat noodles, green curry with coconut rice and Tom yam seafood soup. It’s recommended that to make reservations during weekends. There’s a distillery in the restaurant.
Second Review:nWe really enjoyed our dining experience here the second time. Finally had a chance to try out their gin...our favourite is the strawberry. This time we also tried their stirred fried beef rice and green curry with coconut rice. We loved all the food here. We wanted to see how Thai Siam measured up to a fabulous Thai restaurant in the big city. The dinner was a pleasant surprise.nnWe ordered the Chicken Satay, Coconut Chicken Soup, Shrimp Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Coconut Rice, Grilled Pork Jowl, and Mango Coconut Rice. Our first server was very nice and explained to us they changed the look of the Mango Coconut Rice and referred us to a latest photo so we would not be disappointed.nnFood was very flavourful and delicious. Our favourites were the Coconut Chicken Soup and the Grilled Pork Jowl. Service could be better with our other server who seemed a bit annoyed with us that we did not order from the online system.nnOverall, we enjoyed our meal very much and would make this a go-to Thai restaurant if we are craving for Thai food in Calgary.
