We have ordered take out from here a couple times and have always been happy. Today we tried the dine in option at the restaurant. We were a bit thrown off by the lack of ambiance. However we were absolutely satisfied with our meal. Everything was so fresh and flavourful. It was an excellent meal. Each dish was presented much nicer than my pictures, I took them after we had started to eat. A great place and we will be back. A little music to cut the silence would be a nice addition.
We’ve lived in the area for a long time and are glad to have such a good Thai restaurant in the area. There used to be a second one that was also good but it didn’t survive the pandemic. So we continue to support this one and really enjoy the quality and quantity of food. Tonight we got a golden curry, a Malay curry, and a non spicy chicken and vegetables and one of our long time favourites, mango salad note that I forgot to take a picture until after we’d already eaten! We did take out and the food was ready right when they said it would be. There’s plenty of seating available if you want to eat in. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend!
A must try— the green mango salad! That didn’t even last long we were able to finish it fast. It was so good fresh and amazing! Their signature pad thai is amazing too! The shrimp is perfectly cooked!
Probably the best Thai restaurant in the Durham region. The Pad Thai, Fried Rice, and Oodles of Noodles are must try dishes. You can't go wrong with the curries as well especially the Malay Curry which is rich, creamy and full of flavour. The portions are generous and ingredients are fresh and high-quality.
We don't live in Pickering, but often seek out this place when we are near by. The food is good, our experience is the staff are very friendly and accommodating, even helping us with vegan options. The quantity is large, so don't be surprised if you ask for a take home container. The food was great heated up the next day. Vegetarian options: The staff easily accommodated a vegan option. Dietary restrictions: I have a slight fish/sea food intolerance and they accommodated it.
I have been going to the Pickering Thai One On for a couple years now and it has always been a good experience. Excellent customer service, great food, and always friendly. The most consistently amazing items are the Spicy Thai Eggplant, Basil Chicken, and the Spicy Thai Noodles with Beef or Chicken. Deserts are okay but the entrées are always a win!
The food was good. I had to wait a bit. So definitely order ahead. It was good Thai food they have many options. In terms of authenticity in comparison to other places I’ve had Thai food at it’s not amazing but still it’s good especially for the price.
Hairs in two separate containers. Gross. On November 19th 2022 I ordered a number of dishes totalling $113. Got it home and began to eat when we found a hair in one of the rice containers. We let it go, thinking that these things can happen. We got partway through dinner and found another hair from a separate container! We called the restaurant but were offered only a refund on the rice. I explained that no one finished their dinners. Who would? It’s disgusting. And it was in two containers. I not playing Russian hair roulette! The employee asked for my phone number and said a manager would call me back. No call. I went back the next day in person. I asked for them to refund 1/2 the purchase. Nope. They can’t do that. They offered to have someone call me. Heard that one yesterday. It’s gross. It’s not right and seriously calls into question how clean their kitchen is.
This Sunday went for lunch and Allie was all alone taking care of dine and take away orders. Plus phone orders. Restaurant was very busy but Allie always had smile on her face. She was very friendly and everyone’s requests she made sure she did it right away. Food was good compared to last time we ate. If the chef is change then please don’t change your chef. We really thank Allie for excellent service we got. Owner you are lucky to have her.
I had the worst delivery experience of my life here. I ordered about $150 worth of food. I was waiting 2 hours for the food to come so I called them to get a status update. A girl picked up my call and I asked her to check the status of my food. She put me on hold and left. After eventually realizing she’s most likely not coming back I hung up and called again. Same girl picked up and put me on hold right away once I told her that I still don’t have an update on my food. Somehow my food got to my house and it was the most disgusting food I’ve paid for. The noodles and pad Thai were mush, like dough. The cashew chicken was bland and tasted like it was lacking salt. And the fried rice was also bland. A waste of my money and my time.
