I just visited Tess auto for the first time and can't stress enough how highly I would recommend. As a young woman, it can be hard to find a mechanic that doesn't try to take advantage of you- and I am so grateful to have found someone trustworthy. Steve was professional, honest, and everything you'd look for in a mechanic. Thank you Steve

First became aware of this shop when I was looking for a cheap manual car. Although I didn't buy the Civic SI I was looking at from Tess, later on, I realized it was a tremendous value. 2nd experience with this shop was when I needed some help with a couple small items. AVOID AT ALL COSTS: My car broke down near Tess Auto, so since they were nearby I decided to bring my car here, even though they are not my usual mechanic. My car was overheating and I was told that I needed my radiator replaced, which Tess Auto did. The car was drivable after the radiator was replaced, but soon after my car started having overheating issues again. I took it back to Tess Auto, and I was told that there were leaks from places other than the radiator, and that I should take it to my usual mechanic to fix. I was also told that I should be able to drive it to my mechanic without issue. This was not true, since within 10 minutes on the road my car's heat gauge was at max, so I had to make many, many stops to cool my car down. When I arrived at my mechanic they did multiple radiator diagnostic tests. When they got back to me, they told me that my issue with the car had NOTHING to do with leaks external leaks like Tess Auto said. Instead, I was told that the new radiator was not installed properly as the air was not bled, leading to engine overheating issues. This faulty installation caused my engine to essentially die, and I was told it would cost me $2500 to install a new one. In the end I sold my car a 2004 Lexus Rx 330 for only $3000, when it is easily worth $5500+. This was just after spending approx. $700 to get a new radiator. If you don't want to lose your car due to something completely avoidable like an amateur radiator replacement especially during this surge in car prices I would avoid this mechanic.

Wow! Had an incredible experience at Tess Auto today. Took my car to the shop for long-needed repairs. I had received a costly estimate at another shop. Took my car to Tess Auto for a second opinion and another estimate. Steve confirmed the needed repairs and gave a very detailed and considerably more affordable estimate. He also said that the inspection fee would be deducted if I had the work done at Tess Auto. I had them do the repairs. When I picked up my car, the inspection fee had been deducted as promised. There were no extra charges. As I walked towards my car, I thought my eyes were deceiving me. The badly dented front bumper had been repaired, although it had not been part of the original estimate or work order. I had only mentioned it was on my wish list. The bumper had been reshaped back to its original form -- as a customer courtesy, at no charge. I was thrilled and speechless. Never before have I had such a stellar experience at an automotive repair shop. Thank you, Tess Auto!!!

Brought a car in for repair that had structural issues. Rather than attempt to repair, I was given a patient and informed reason for not spending wasting my money on the car. That's classy. Clean shop.
