Great food, in short. The Texas bbq burger suggested by the friendly waiter guy with onion rings was great but the melted mushroom burger followed right behind in terms of taste. The sweet potato fries is also worth a try. Potato skins with mozzarella and cheddar was absolutely great and a must try, especially with a drink in hand!
Good home cooked meal. I had the pickerel which was cooked perfect and the fries nice and crispy. There were 7 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals.
The service was excellent. I had the porkchops and my brother had the ribs. He said his was great but I found the chops slightly over done. Don't get me wrong they were still moist and flavorful just starting to get tough and dry texture. Sad they will be closing in a couple months to make way for a fast food outlet.
Was looking forward to a good Sunday night dinner. Have eaten here many times on previous snowmobile trips. The waitress told us deep fried foods only then didn't give us all our order. Was very busy and closing early. Food was only okay best.
A friend and I stopped in for dinner on our way through town. We both got the Rib Eye Steak, and were both shocked at the amazing quality! We literally talked about that steak for 4 hours afterwards. By far the best steak I've had in a restaurant in the last few years, and my friend agreed. You owe it to yourself to go here and get a Rib Eye.
The person serving was very nice and pleasant! Good was good, food was hot. Mixed up some of the ingredients to make a great option that wasn't on the menu that tasted good.
I ordered a medium rare ribeye which was about a quarter inch thick and came out medium well. Manager insisted the pink to brown steak was medium rare and wouldn't cook another one. They offered a $5 discount. My partner ordered fish which was over done. Seems kind of run down.
It's a redneck haven. Didn't seem to care about checking vaccine passports. Waiter wore mask below his nose. We were greeted with we are out of this, that and the other thing. Served chicken burger with a glob of fat still attached. Bun was so thin I had to eat it with a knife and fork. It seemed the dress code was camoflouge, felt out of place. Fries were good. Would not go back.
Sheldon is a GREAT server! The food is always fantastic and delicious and we keep coming back here even though there are other restaurants lol... a great place to eat and it seems to always be full of customers who all seem happy!
The ambience is lovely. The waiters and waitresses were attentive. I was little disappointed with my mushroom melt. Got predominately onions-big chunks, with 3 pieces mushrooms and small dollop of cheese. Outside that the veggie burger was spicier than I expected.
