I banked here for the past 9 years and after my experience today I will be closing my account. I have a retired police dog who has lost an eye and has a little anxiety. Brought him to the bank at first he was calm and laying down. He started to get anxious and was letting out small barks but still laying in between my legs. A black worker there asked me to leave. I did not deposit my money and will be banking else where. For being such a dog friendly bank it’s clear they discriminate against certain breeds
I normally don’t have to go into the branch since most of my banking can be done online / through the app, but today, I went in to deposit a check and change the phone number on file for my account. As I was depositing my check, I noticed a woman GRILLING me from inside and to be quite fair, I did look disheveled as I had just finished doing some yard work. After I deposited my check at the atm, I decided to go inside to change my phone number for the 2 Factor Authentication process. I approached a girl Who I believe is Shanice and she was just rude from the get go as if she didn’t want to help me because of my appearance. When she asked me what did I need help with and when I told her, she rudely replied “Ok? So what is your goal here???” When I repeated that I just needed to change my number in the system, she rudely responded “Well, what is your goal here?? What outcome do you want?? It’s not going to happen NOW, it’s going to take hours for it to take change so if you want it done NOW, it’s not going to happen NOW.”nnI told her it wasn’t dire. She started the process. Asked me about my old address on my ID, told her my current address and continued on. I don’t know why she asked me this as if I weren’t the person in the picture on the ID to confirm my own bank account— as I’ve never been asked this before when accessing my own bank account with the debit AND photo ID. The system was being slow & wouldn’t “take” the new number, which I don’t blame her for, but she kept saying to me as she kept refreshing “If you need this done now, it’s not gonna happen now.”nnIt was a simple request. All of it. I’m sure this has to be one of the easier requests done at a banking institution. I just don’t understand why she was so hostile towards me, as if me walking in ruined her in that moment seemingly not so busy day.nn**The only reason I’m assuming her name was Shanice is because she didn’t greet me, but a business card placard was at the station she was at. It was the girl who had what I’m assuming were star shaped pimple patches all over her face.
This specific branch either has ignorant, judgmental people working there or lazy, incompetent ones because the way they treat people there is borderline inhumane and it's obvious by the other reviews here that there is clearly something wrong with the people there running things. SMH.
We have been banking with the East Greenbush TD bank branch for 17 years. Everyone we have dealt with over the years has been professional, polite and competent. Nothing but a positive experience!
Worst bank ever!! Very incompetent people! Ive been waiting over 6 weeks for money from a mistake they made and I still don't have it!! Totally absurb!!
