Taystee Donair

The donair is great. Ripe red tomatoes. Lettuce is of the cesar variety. It was good. The owner was just getting back To full fill a missed item on a skip the dishes order so his customers are always happy. Fries are great. Could be crispier for myself tho. Seasoned awesome.

I can only give 5 stars but if possible I would give 10 stars! Amazing fries and even better Mixed donairs! If you order the jumbo mixed, get ready for a nap after your done!this is my personal opinion Great food and awesome price point. Definitely going back for more again soon! Just ordered the Jumbo donair. This is exactly like a Halifax style donair, even the sauce. Well done! And large amount of beef. Just moved to this part of the city, and will be going back. Update Oct 10, 2022. Ive ordered many donairs in the past 2 years. I order the 2 pound donair and I've always been happy Tonight, I ordered it without sauce and light tomato. It felt very light. Went home and weighed it. 700 grams. That is 255 grams short of 2 pounds. Pita was also undercooked. For & 25 with tip, I would like 2 pounds. I called, and I was told it was light because of not adding as much veggies. My other donairs weighed 2 pounds, so I'm not buying that excuse. Disappointing.

**Editing to say that though we had a few times that were a miss, our feedback was taken into consideration and at our last visit our Donairs were great! Definitely the best I've had in Edmonton. If you're an east coaster craving a donair, this is the place to go. Large portions, and everyone here is always really friendly. I would give this place 5 stars if it was consistently good. When it's good, it's great! I'm talking saucy, meat grilled to perfection, just the way a donair should be. I go here frequently because they really are that good... but unfortunately I'm finding more and more that it's a miss. I wish everyone there was being trained to make things the same so that they would be made the same great way everytime.

So delicious. Amazing service. I highly recommend. Seriously, every time I eat his delicious food, it's consistently delicious. Everything is fresh. I always order regular donair with lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese with side of onion rings and garlic sauce. Every time is perfect. Please try the garlic sauce. Sooooooooooo yummy this guy knows what he's doing.

Gotta go 5 stars here.... purely on the food tho. Donair was fantastic. Seating inside is actually very new and clean unlike alot of donair spots. They also serve pizza, burgers, wings etc. All your typical fried snacks. They do skip and takeout as well.... not sure who couldn't just call them and order... but hey... use skip instead.

I'm gonna say it's the worst place I've had delivery from in Edmonton, the donair was cold and had about 2 gallons of sauce on it. The pizza was cold and undercooked. It's just fit for the garbage. I was so angry I threw the donair in the garbage before taking a picture. The pizza is also now in the garbage after one piece, so we are no gonna order Boston pizza. First and last time I order this garbage.

My husband and I were in Nova Scotia and fell in love with donairs and donair pizzas. We were excited to find Taystee’s and can honestly say that it is a true Nova Scotian donair experience with fresh ingredients and the nicest owner!

Very large portion sizes and friendly service. I always swing by during slow hours and it’s one of the few places like to I eat-in. I recommend the Donairs all the way, but they also have many unsuspectingly delicious menu items. Recommended try.
