Story

We are a small animal veterinary clinic located in Tavistock Ontario. Since 1938 families have trusted us in the care of their pets. We are conveniently located just 10 minutes from Stratford, 5 kilometers off Highway 7 & 8, just west of Kitchener/Waterloo and 20 minutes North East of Woodstock.
Our enthusiastic and caring team of Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians and Custom Care Representative provide preventative veterinary care as well as medical, surgical and dental care. We offer all these services to: dogs, cats and exotic pets.
Their health is our goal!
We are open 6 days a week with emergency care after hours for current clients. Please see our hours for more details. We would be happy for you and your pet to be part of our family.

We’ve been using Tavistock Veterinarians for 9 plus years now and there is an excellent reason why. They connect, with each family member ! Some furry , some not. The staff is outstanding and very friendly.
We had never been a client of Tavistock Vet however we had to suddenly put our girl Mya down. The vet team there was the most compassionate people I have ever met in my life. They explained how everything will work, they gave us so much time with our girl before & after she passed away. They consoled us while we cried & said goodbye to her. When leaving we knew Mya was in good hands & We seriously can’t say thank you enough for making such an awful day that much easier for us.
The staff at Tavistock Vet truly went above & beyond when something popped up with my girl. Thorough examination, patient explanations - even staying late on a Friday to ensure diligent care. So impressed & grateful.
Always supportive and giving of options, informative and professional yet compassionate and empathetic. The fees are fair for such quality and expertise. What puts them over the top is their follow up tiuch base, to all of our matters via phone call or live depending, as part of their service. We love our Tavistock vets team.
This place is extremely clean,nthey only allow one dog in the reception area at a time so no pet gets frightened. Excellent vets care and thoroughness. They take the time to answer all your questions and concerns about your pet.
