Food is delicious and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely the best Indian food I’ve eaten in Portage La Prairie and maybe even Winnipeg. We opted for a la carte. Disappointed about the buffet. The staples that you would often see at Indian buffets were not there. Ambiance is okay. Not what I what I expected considering the place was advertised as “fine cuisine.” I think the biggest issue for me is that for the price of the menu items, the servings were incredibly small. I have no issue paying for better quality food and more delicious food. However, even with that to consider, the prices just did not make sense.
I don’t know where to start we ordered veg and non veg thalis, momos, golgappe. The only thing that was good was golgappe and kheer. Non veg thali comes with chilli fish fish tastes stale , butter chicken was full of tomato curry without any other taste in it and naan was undercooked. Momoos were not steamed properly and chicken filling was stale. We spend alot and didn’t enjoy our dinner at all. Only the ambience of the restaurant was nice. UPDATE: not only the reply is rude, we’re not the first people who had bad experience, we tried to give you guys a second chance and it’s VERY disappointing to see how less you care about customers feedback. Instead of improving your quality of food, what you did with the momos that we returned, you toss it in chilli sauce and bring the same momos back so that you can charge us. When we gave the feedback about the dessert that the milk that you guys used to make it has gone bad, you tried to tell us that it was made fresh, we’re from India and knows how freshly made food tastes. You guys should have the guts to take an honest feedback from your own community instead of expecting everyone to fake it. We don’t think it was fair to charge someone for something who had the same issue twice and we didn’t ask for replacement. Not only that you try to gave us rice pudding that nobody was eating from the buffet to make up for the experience when we were already done. NO Thanks. We hope you’ll improve the quality of food that way you don’t have to offer alternatives over and over because that isn’t profitable for your business.
I tried this place and it was SO good!! The food is delicious, the service is amazing and the atmosphere is so luxurious. Definitely eating here again when I come back to Portage!Food: 5/5

We had the great pleasure to dine in this wonderful restaurant tonight, and let me tell you it was AMAZING! Spectacular Indian food made perfectly and deliciously! We were told that the chef came out here and has 40 years of experience cooking Indian Cuisine, and we could tell from the level of the food. Me and my dad enjoyed the buffet with a HUGE variety of food spanning from appetisers to desert! And all of this for a very affordable price, especially compared to buffets of other restaurants buffet was only 23.99. My mom had food from the menu and received a big portion of delicious food made with love. A very sweet and welcoming girl named Alyesha sorry if spelling is wrong had phenomenal service and gave me a great drink recommendation! A gentleman who’s name we did not catch seemed like the owner was also very caring and helpful, and even proposed to me and my dad to get the dessert from the buffet when we forgot. He truly wanted us to not only like the restaurant, but actually enjoy our time and meal! The restaurant itself was nice and cozy and had great music! Overall, delicious, perfectly priced food in a great space with impeccable service! Thank you from the bottom of our heart! We recommend driving from Winnipeg if you have to, to try that chicken curry! Yum!
I drive almost 85km to taste the food. It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and polite. Highly recommend
Good tasting food but unfortunately it's a bit overpriced for what it actually is. Service left a lot to be desired. We were only customers in the restaurant and had to ask server to come back for drinks several times and had to ask about the drink we ordered at the start of the meal 20 minutes later. Not luxury/fine dining but, ok food. We would definitely return if the buffet was priced better than $27 per person. Reply to owner's reply: It was not a tea that we had to wait for so, no need to describe the process of a drink we didn't order. We simply ordered a Tom collins cocktail from your special Friday list. The server forgot to make it then we had to inquire about it again. We came in on Friday at around 6pm and we were 1 of 2 tables with the other table leaving shortly after we got our meals. The buffet was barely stocked. I was being relatively polite with my previous review with maybe some constructive feedback. I don't think you need to actively dissuade people from coming in by replying and challenging everyone on what they ordered. Take some feedback into consideration and try to improve. For reference the other Indian restaurant in portage, has about the same number of items in their buffet and tastes quite close if not better at half the price. Will be hesitant to return, thanks!
We were passing through Portage and found this wonderful wonderful restaurant. All the glasses plates and cutlery have their name etched on it beautiful scenery and very unique tables and chairs. The buffet was an excellent choice and a few spicy food items were very tolerable. I recommend anybody to eat hereFood: 5/5
