During our visit in Edmonton, we came here 3 times we really enjoyed the food here. We were served delicious food each time and staff were super kind and helpful. We tried to order different items each time and there was no surprise they were all excelent. Highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5
Very friendly & competent staff - have great recommendations. Great environment. Food was fantastic and came out of the kitchen quickly. Lamb Shank Special & Beef Kabob were great. Tried the Doogh out of curiosity - not my favorite drink, but I am glad I tried it. Would definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
AMAZING time at now my favourite Persian restaurant in the city! Food was delivered hot and fresh, we stayed late, staff was fantastic and the vibe was just awesome!!! Can’t wait to go again - I took 13 people including 3 kids! They have more than enough space to accommodate, just call ahead and reserve. The portion sizes for the price and value is just perfect! Thank you guys for a wonderful evening : Vegetarian options: Amazing options, egg plant fries were to die for!!! Parking: Parking is easy in the both sides! Kid-friendliness: So friendly! And I never felt like I should have left our little ones home. They made it a welcoming and fun environment for kids.
Unassuming restaurant when you come straight down 100 Ave, but don’t just drive past. The food is really nice I came two nights in a row first solo, the next night I brought my family. The service is friendly and will explain some of the dishes if you have questions. We ordered a variety but my favourite is the lamb shanks and ordering a side of shirazi salad. The portions come with a mountain of rice - too much in my opinion. May ask next time to only give a half portion of rice to avoid food wastage. I wish the breakfast offering had something more unique. It seems to be more “Canadian” breakfast options. Would love to see what a Persian breakfast would look like. The vibe is very casual. Feels like a family spot. The prices are very reasonable!
My wife and I enjoyed a delightful meal at Taste of Persia. The Baghali Polo with Mahicheh, Zereshk Polo with Chicken, and Kashk Badenjoon were all fantastic. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, reflecting the hospitality of Persian culture. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. However, one minor issue caught our attention. When settling the bill, the payment machine offered predefined tip selections of 18%, 20%, 25%, and 30%. While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we believe that tipping should be at the customer’s discretion, and a personalized option to input the desired tip amount would be more appropriate.
Our breakfast experience there was quite disappointing. Despite being the only customers, the service was slow. The menus handed to us were dirty and sticky. Unfortunately, there were no Persian food options on the breakfast menu. The quality of the breakfast itself was basic and not up to par. We ordered poached eggs, but they weren't drained properly.
My husband and I had heard good things about Taste of Persia, and so we decided to give it a go. It turns out that this place is highly rated for a reason! Our food was delicious. The fesenjoon was very flavourful while the ground beef and chicken skewers pictured below were tender and juicy. The service was also friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!
Incredibly delicious food. This was my first time trying Persian food so I ordered several different things so I could get the best experience. This food is amazing! The pickled vegetables are crisp and full of flavour. The little salad was acidic, very flavourful and unique. I had two different skewers one chicken, one beef. Both were phenomenal, the roasted tomato, light and fluffy rice, fennel salad, and little side dish of yet another pickled vegetable went together perfectly. I rounded out the meal with 2 pieces of Baklava which they make in house and some Persian tea. This was such a wonderful dinner on a Friday evening and the atmosphere is clean and warm. The servers are warm, caring, and go above and beyond to make sure you are pleased with your food. Another highly recommended restaurant in a city with such a great food scene. You absolutely must give this Persian restaurant a try!
WOW! We are visiting in Edmonton for a few nights and wanted to try something different. We are adventurous diners and truly love all ethnic cuisine but have never tried Persian food. Our server was an absolute gem and made some suggestions on her favorite dishes, so we tried those and we also tried a few others that caught our eye. It was just 2 of us and we ordered 2 starters, a salad, a soup, and 2 entrees. Everything was truly incredible! 10/10! Pickled garlic, shirazi salad, ashe-e-rezteh soup, paneer sabzi rolls, bademjoon stew, and vaziri kabobs! Just a major trip to flavor town! Finished off with pistachio/saffron ice cream sandwiches, and one of each of the other desserts to go.... AMAZING! Wish we didn't live 10 hours away otherwise we'd make this a regular weekly experience! VERY reasonable prices too! With all we ordered plus desserts the bill was less than $100.
Sometimes you come across a place where you are spellbound with the food, flavour, ambiance, service etc but there is just one word that comes to my mind is OUTSTANDING. The food was full of flavour and you can taste that in every bite. The portion size is decent. The prices are good and on the cheaper side. As it was my partner’s birthday, the guy who was serving us gave the desserts for free. Persian tea is complimentary after or before the dinner. All in all a great opportunity to experience the authentic persian food. LOVED it !! Definitely recommend it..
