What a special place! My wife is celiac so we popped in for lunch. The food is incredible and there was live jazz while we were there! Made for such a relaxing and fun lunch!Food: 5/5
Ordered an assortment of 6 butter tarts maple walnut, pecan, coconut, lemon curd, cheese cake- $4 each, or $3 each for 6! The shells kept their pastry texture/flakiness well , especially considering they’re gluten free. They also sell gluten free savoury pies and shells, tourtiere, and quiche in the refrigerated section. Cute live music on sat mornings.
I've been many times with my wife and brought several friends, this place never disappoints. The tarts are incredible with a large variety of filling flavours, they also carry many other baked goods as well as espresso based drinks and lunch type foods. The shop has a cozy homey feel/decor with a band area that occasionally has a group playing. The staff are very friendly as well. They accommodate large orders for weddings and other large events. I highly recommend this place! Discounts included on orders of 12 or more tarts.
Very cool hidden Gem. I have driven by multiple times but always wanted to visit. Dont be me, stop the first time! There was a live band playing jazz. Lots of art on the walls and an excellent selection of pies and tarts, etc. They also have a large selection of hot drinks. Definitely give it a chance if you are in the area or looking for a unique place to stop at on a date.
We came across the Tartistry pop-up shop while dining at the Distillery District, so we decided to try a few of their tarts. They were yummy, and definitely a great option for gluten-free tarts! We tried the original, cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter, and lemon curd. All were good, but the lemon curd was the standout; a nice balance between tart and sweet.
Delicious butter tarts! Good coffee too. Very cute atmosphere. There's live music on Saturdays. The service is great. Parking is challenging as you have to use limited paid parking on the street.Food: 5/5
If you are gluten sensitive, and LOVE LOVE LOVE desserts, tarts, and pastry-based foods, this IS the place. I found them at the distillery district's Christmas market, and just visited their store in Etobicoke. Man, the tarts are amazing, and so many flavours! I bought a chicken pot pie, a beef pot pie, and an apple pie. I am so excited to try these pies. Folks, go check out Tartistry! It's worth the drive, and you won't be disappointed!
This little hole in the wall is a great cafe. A quaint looking place with artwork on the wall, pick a teacup w saucer you’d like to be served, grab a tart can’t believe GF tarts can taste soo good and enjoy the live jazz every Saturday. What else you can ask for FYI. The shop sells variety of GF sweet & savoury tarts. Also take large orders, discount on tarts if buy 6.
This place is a gem. The owner is awesome. The tarts are delicious. They had jazz music when we went in. What else one can ask for!Food: 5/5
We went Saturday’s for the free Live Jazz. It’s a n interesting Atmosphere in the place, hard to describe. A mix of grandma’s living room and an antique store. It appears the pretty much the entire store is for sale. The food was great and so the coffee. We also loved the live music. If I had to complain about something it would be the price of the tarts, but having the free live music included definitely made up for it and I guess they are all fresh and hand made. The service is absolutely lovely.
