Best Mexican place so far i have ever been to in Ontario. Incredible taste, friendly staff, clean, and great prices. My go to place from now on. See you guys soon! I suggest everyone at least try it. If they had better signage i think more people would be aware of this place.
The food and the service was great. Highly recommend this place for mexican food. Nice little quaint restaurant with outdoor patio in the back. The Paella was fantastic and the tacos were fabulous!! Will definitely go back.
Best taco restaurant in the area! The staff are super friendly and helpful. While everything on the menu is delicious, with fresh ingredients. Great selection of local craft beer and cider. I've never been there when it's busy, but it has a limited amount of patio seating.
Taqueria El Norte is one of my favourite eateries in Canada. They do modern Mexican dishes outrageously well. This spot in Alliston won’t be for the uptight or lame. The food is adventurous, decor bold and staff have personality. Creativity isn’t lacking and I could go on and on about how great this place is. They have many great menu options and things as “simple” as chips and dips are well thought out and executed. The pineapple salsa that comes with the chips is top notch. I’ve tried many of their tacos and the crispy chicken, salmon and pork belly are my favourites, but the medium rare steak taco is also killer. They offer many interesting meat options so you’ll want to try a few to narrow down your favourites. The toppings always balance the base perfectly and every taco has a unique texture and flavour profile. My only regret is not yet trying their wild game burger. I want to also mention that they have an excellent curated drink menu if you like craft beer and other adult beverages. Taqueria El Norte - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Vibe - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Price - $$/$$$
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD! Excellent flavor, so fresh and and just absolutely Delicious!! Can't wait to go back! Today my husband and I went for the first time and ordered "Platos Grande Choice of Carne Asada, Served with guacamole, salsa roja, pico de gallo, chipotle aioli, queso fresco, rice & white corn tortillas." Everything was amazing! Real Hispanic Flavor we're from Colombia The stake so soft and flavorful! I'm so excited to have found this amazing restaurant so close to us! This is our Now favorite place to eat for sure! Can't wait to come back and try everything else! Also Excellent service, very friendly and professional. Thank you for the amazing Food and Service!! From the moment someone recommended Taqueria el Norte I knew I had to try it, and my Mexican self is happy I did. From the moment we walked in, Rob was very welcoming. He chatted with us, made some beer recommendations and told us a bit about the food. His tacos are delicious!! My husband and I decided to ask Rob to cater the late night snack for our Mexican-Canadian wedding. Rob was amazing to work with, he was very open to our choices and was super flexible with the schedule, we had a few time changes and he rolled with them all. He was also able to ensure his food was prepared in a clean and safe way for a family member with severe allergies. Everyone at the event loved the tacos just as much as my husband and I did. We will definitely be driving from North York to Alliston often just to enjoy some delicious tacos from Taqueria el Norte. Trust a Mexican, this place is a must!
Hands down the best taco place I have ever gone to. Amazing flavours. Fresh. Unique. Rob the owner is a great person. The flavour of the guac and pico brings me right back to my vacations in Mexico. Worth the visit every time. Just tried the new location as well. Still as amazing as always. New location had an amazing vibe inside. Bigger menu. Can't wait to go again
As I lover of authentic Mexican food I have never had worst Mexican food. Everything was so watery that the tacos fell apart and were soggy instantly. The burger bun was soggy the burger was burnt… never had a soggy burger bun before. My pregnant friend asked for a substitution, because , they don’t do substitutions, fine. Asked for the meat a little more cooked they said they only serve it their way, get it, it was basically cold. The dessert was a stale gingerbread cookie probably bought at the corner store, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Then I asked for a scoop of ice cream for my 2 year old, they told me I have to pay for the whole dessert… not a single thing dish was worth the money. The only good thing about this place, was the music, I’ll give them that ;
Food was delicious! And the atmosphere is just so much fun. Service was okay. We were originally sat in the back patio. For making reservations that threw us off because we hadn't dressed to sit outside on picnic benches. I would have thought that would be something they would flag to us for end of September when the evening chill starts. Thankfully we were able to move inside as a table opened up.
Hands down the most delicious Mexican food I've had in Ontario. So flavourful and full of colour, I loved every bite.
