This is a fantastic North Indian full service and takeout. We enjoyed table service in a polite and professional manner. Our food arrived quickly. It was fresh and the flavour combinations are THE REAL Deal. Affordably priced and generous portions, meant that we took some food home with us too! This is a family business and THEY know how to do fantastic vegetarian dishes. It can be tricky to find descent vegetarian restaurants, especially in this area. Well done!
Oh My Gosh! I had heard about this place before and have been waiting so long to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by how quaint and cozy this place is. The washrooms are clean soap dispensers have sensors. Then we get to the food, it’s quite hard to find Indian restaurants with so many vegetarian options on the menu. My sincerest compliments to the chef, the food was delicious and soo worth it! Every gravy had it’s own flavour. I will definitely be going back for more!
We have had good food at Tanjore in the past, but when we ordered take out yesterday, the food was bland and rushed. The lamb korma was alright, but watery, with less meat than sauce. The butter chicken was relatively unspiced, even compared to before. More like tomato soup. The paneer was average, and thankfully , the samosas were their usual excellent. It will be some time before we return, and hopefully they will have sorted out their issues.
Best Indian food in the east end. If you’re anywhere near the Belleville area I highly recommend this place. Must haves are the garlic naan, onion naan, butter chicken, tandoori chicken and the secret onions! I drive 2 hours to eat this food and highly highly recommend. Always served with a smile on their face!Food: 5/5
Decent portions but very oily, salty food. Not healthy at all. All the curries are watery and very little veggies or meat in them. Their naan and rotis are good though. Just an average make-do Indian food in the town.Food: 3/5
I had the butter chicken and unfortunately didn't enjoy it at all. It was the worst butter chicken I've ever had. The chicken was tough and the sauce had absolutely no flavour to it. I guess I should have known when the staff didn't ask me if I wanted mild, medium or hot spice when I placed my order. Any other Indian restaurant I've ordered from in the past have always asked. I won't be ordering from there again...
Yesterday I ordered a malai kofta for take out and after eating this I got food poisoning and my stomach is disturbed from yesterday till now. I can’t eat anything else. I don’t know what did they put in it but the experience was really disappointing. I am suffering from stomach pain now.
Great food, very well made. Best North Indian food I have had this side of Mississauga. Vindaloo was great, garlic naan amazing, chicken tikka and tikka masala both excellent. Pakora is like chicken fingers I'm used to it being beaten flat but still very good, samosa was terrific, biryani extremely flavourful. Papri chaat was perfect to cool the old mouth down when the vindaloo kicked in. Very reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food you get.
Love this place. Amazing food and have been twice. The interior isn't special but the food makes up for it and is surprisingly cheap.
Never order Roganjosh. They serve butter chicken sauce and call in vindaloo. That's scamming people in the area. Also vindaloo needs to have potatoes that's what aloo means
