This place is seriously amazing, A hidden gem for sure! From the samosas to the butter chicken to the homemade Naan bread. If you have not tried this place, you need too! Definitely will come again. Also they give big portions so come hungry!
As a review mentions below, this is not your traditional tasting Indian food. I only tried the vindaloo so far, and I did not like this restaurant's version. I will still give another dish a try and see if I still feel that way. Portion size was great for value. Taste was not what I expected but still open to give another try.
Food taste can be rated average, however bummer was pricing and combo meal deal am used to from previous business ie Tandoori Hut. Went in last night with my husband and in laws after they mentioned Indian food a few times. First time trying a place in Airdrie since moving here. We have definitely found our new place! We dined in and it was SO good. They told us that it would be approximately 30-40 minute wait for food but we didn’t mind and it definitely didn’t take that long. Everything was SO good. Their basmati rice is delicious and so nice and fluffy- may be one of the best ones we have ever had. I’ve never seen my MIL eat so much rice, she even asked how they prep it and which brand they buy. Service was so friendly and awesome. The garlic naan was also so fluffy and filling and yummy. All the dishes we got were fantastic! Can’t wait to go back! We can’t eat too spicy and they definitely accommodate us so well. More of a casual setting as they do a lot of take out and delivery but such good quality food!! Yum! Cannot recommend them enough!
I'm updating my year old review. This is hands down THE SINGLE BEST RESTAURANT IN AIRDRIE. Whoever makes these dishes spices everything to perfection. I ordered things I've never heard of and was literally blown away. Not joking, best food in town.
I will refrain from uttering the words which escaped my mouth after my first bites of the butter chicken and coconut curry as they aren't appropriate for all ages. Believe me when I say it was a profanity laced explosion of words based in pure joy. The best butter chicken I have ever had and the coconut curry was phenomenal! I'm sure the rest of the menu is up to this level as well but I'm not sure I will be able to convince myself to get anything else. Highly recommend
We had an excellent experience at Tandoori Hut. The food was delicious, fast, and filling, the staff were so friendly and super attentive, especially considering the casual feeling of the space. Great feeling in the place itself, I'd be happy to bring any fan of Indian food here. 10/10, will be back every time I come home. Thanks team!
AMAZING FOOD! Love getting food from here except for one thing which is why I am giving it 3 stars. The food takes forever. We have never Picked up food from here that is ready, we have always has to wait, even when we pick up late to try and make up for the extra time. Literally amazing Indian food, just really really slow. Pick up usually say 20 minutes, we have had to wait up to 50 minutes from the time of our call.
We love Indian food and this place has the best by far!!!! The butter chicken is to die for! The portion sizes are great, flavour is fantastic and the price is very reasonable. The owner is also very kind and very helpful.
We have been going to the Tandoori Hut since it opened. I can finally say that I have found fantastic Indian food, this side of the Atlantic! The portions are great, the chicken comes in proper big chunks, the lamb is beautifully tender and everything is flavourful. The owner is super friendly and if like most of us Brits, you want something other than butter chicken, just ask, they can make all the curries we are used to. I truly hope this restaurant succeeds!!
