We were in the neighbourhood, found this on Google maps, decided to give it a try. We ordered a pho with assorted beef and a bun bo hue spicy noodle soup. Whenever I go to a Vietnamese restaurant, my go to dish is always grilled pork and spring roll with vermicelli. But unfortunately they don’t have this dish here. However that turned out to be great, because I really like the spicy noodle soup, forced me to try something new and i happened to like it, so definitely a great outcome. This place is kind of half self service, they provide some lemon water you could get on your own, also utensils and sauces are also self serviced. But they do serve you your dishes. Then you return your dirty dishes and trays to an area. Staff are really friendly. The place is nice and clean. Also, price is very affordable! Would love to try their fresh summer rolls next time. Do recommend this place!
Really reasonable price for every dishes!!! The price is on point, and surprisingly their food is good as well I would say it is not the best but still really good. My Go-to Place for a broke day Minor points: a but far away from downtown, there are some special dishes like “banh bot loc”, etc. you have to order a day ahead as well. So keep in mind
Fantastic Bun Bo Hue! Some of the best I've had. The vegan pho was a bit sweet, but the banh cuon was on point. Will definitely be coming back for more bun bo hue! Staff is friendly, and Viet coffee is excellent. Vegetarian options: Vegan Banh Mi and Pho option.
Canteen style Vietnamese Street food place, self service as well. The food was decidedly delightful, I got the pork with rice and the meat was tender and juicy, melt in the mouth consistency. Priced very competitively as well, really good value for the qualityFood: 5/5
I came to this place due to a review in The Toronto Star which stated this place have food style more home-cooked than a restaurant. Mom and son owned. No big sign outside, unassuming place, two doors but only one is in use. Inside is nicely organized, regular tables and a few booths: some face to face, some semi-circle. Clean and neat. They have a water station where your can help yourself and another station for dirty dishes/trays and sriracha and hoising sauces. Menu is thru a QR code in the table, a copy is at the register located at the front counter along with the grill. You order and pay first then the food is brought to your table. Dishes are simple and delicious. However the portions size is small in my opinion. I didn't want to order and more dishes because at other restaurants I order only one dish and I am satisfied. Quality and presentation of the meals are great but I was still hungry after finishing my meal. I think it's great to support local small businesses like this one. They have some community presentations from time to time as they have a projector and a roll-up screen. 4 starts due to small portions 4 starts because there is no service, it is more self-service with a place to seat, a bit like a mall food court. 3 starts for atmosphere, the background music was English indie, a bit loud, but the furniture matched and was in perfect condition and clean. I am conflicted myself with my own review as the look and feel was modern, neat and clean, the food quality was great but the fact I left still feeling hungry made me decide not to come back there. I still gave it a general 4 starts because maybe other persons may find the rations proper. As for me, I'll go to any other Vietnamese restaurant, with the cliche looks and delicious and abundant meals.
I have to admit I didn't expect it to be so good. We ordered one of each of their mains and they were all spectacular. From the rice to the noodles, everything tasted really good and came in well-sized portions. The price was also a defining factor in our experience, which was really enjoyable overall for us.
The food and drinks were really good and the price was super reasonable. Our server was friendly… and an amazing chalkboard artist! My son loved watching him draw.
My first time eating vietnamese food and it did not disappoint. The food was incredibly flavourful while also being really fresh. I look forward to going back and trying more!
Personnel was super attentive and kind. Food was a bit slow but this is not a fast food place so this was not a problem. Flavor was on point! Coffee was amazing and now I want to go back every time to get more of it.
Tam’s Vietnamese street food is pretty great, took me a while to visit, if it wasn’t for a friend that had introduced me to this place and told me they served Banh Cuon I probably just walked by. The Banh Cuon and Banh Mi is by far my fave so far, everything is freshly made behind their counter. Will be back to try the other staple dishes on the menu and because it’s in the Junction.
