Great Lake, just cause there’s fish in the lake doesn’t make it a fishing lake . Friendly owners, super clean and tidy. My main comment is if it’s hot summer and you have a family or small children the mobile is not a good idea because it becomes an oven and there’s no escaping that heat. The cabins on the water are super cute!!!
Such a wonderful campground that truly showcases the beauty of Watch lake! We spend a lot of time at Watch lake as a family, though it was our first stay at Tall Timbers, it definitely will not be our last!Service: 5/5
Very much enjoyed our stay here! We rented Mobile 4 and our friends had an RV spot. I would mention that mobile 4 advertises as 3 bedrooms but 2 are actually connected with a section of wall missing. Not really a problem but it was unexpected The beds were very comfortable, the heater worked great, everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had most everything you need. The boats were great, the folks running the place were lovely. The grounds were nice, and the little store on site had a good selection of things you may have forgotten. Plus ice cream we will for sure be visiting again!
Tall Timbers is a great place to get away from it all. It is peaceful, beautful and calming. The owners are very dedicated to ensure that your stay is relaxing, and they are very hospitable. You can fish, swim, sit by a campfire or just lose yourself in beauty that surrounds you. I would absolutely recommend Tall Timbers Resort! We stayed in cabin #7. It had everything we needed, including hot water, comfortable beds, full kitchen, and it was very clean. It is family run, family friendly and an amazing little piece of paradise.
My husband and I stayed in a tented site just a short walk from the docks. This was our first campsite on a two-week-long road trip up North, and definitely kicked things off well. The highlights for us were the boat rentals and friendly owners. The flags we had easily solved were: the site itself was moderately overgrown and the skeeters were plentiful; however, nothing a can of DEET couldn't get rid of. The shore was also fairly slimy - not ideal for shallow swimming. We did find that once we had a boat in the middle of the lake paired with water shoes this wasn't an issue at all. In fact, the water was glorious for swimming once you get past the reeds. Overall, we had a phenomenal time here, and would like to return for some lake fishing.
We have been staying here every year since 2009 & going to the lake every year since 1997. The owners are cheerful & go out of their way to help with just about anything from our car not starting to fetching our boat after it got away on us during launching or outboard motor repairs. They occasionally have to leave the resort to tend to personal things, but they always make sure we have anything we may need before they go. We appreciate being able to use their WiFi to catch up on emails. If you're looking for a relaxing nature getaway & maybe do some fishing for trout, we highly recommend Tall Timbers Resort.
Loved this place. Beautiful lake, nice resort, friendly owners. We had a cabin with full kitchen, bathroom and queen size bed with loft. We had a dock for the boat right out front as well as a fire pit.Limited wifi for email and a few bars of cell service. Store has ice cream and the necessities. Also has a boat launch. We can't wait to stay here again.
Marilyn and Robert were very welcoming and the resort is amazing. We rented a boat and kayaks landed a big trout 50 feet from the dock see pic 1 handed Rooms: 5/5
Such a natural beautiful place amoung such grand trees, and beautiful water. This fishing lodge is great for the whole family and is pet friendly. Our kids always have so much fun fishing, bird watching, and hiking around the property. A great place to unplug and relax from the busyness of the real world.
I believe relatively new owners still trying to get the place organized, they definitely need to get some work done on the cabins, as well as some selective tree clearing and landscaping, but we did have a lot of fun there with our family reunion caught a couple decent sized yummy fish . Definitely would go back , whiny prissy uptite princesses should probably stay away
