Came here for a quaint lunch on a Sunday with a party of four. We ordered at the counter and the food was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered the Taiwanese popcorn chicken over rice, which included some steamed veggies and half an egg. The chicken was juicy and crispy but a little under seasoned for my taste. I also had the passion fruit jasmine green tea with coconut jelly - yummy.
Good food in good portion sizes! Ordered Tainan braised pork with rice and came with vegetables and soy marinated egg. Make it a combo and add a side and drink. Very tasty and not too much food at once. Food is served relatively quickly and everything is readily available for you. My only note is that there is limited seating so you may want to time when you get there!
Loved what we ordered! By far, our favorite was the pineapple shrimp balls, the shrimp was fried perfectly crisp and the sauce wasn't too much. We also enjoyed the mango shrimp bao, as well as the pepper steak and pork belly rice bowls. Very well priced, and very filling.
Authentic Taiwanese flavor that I've been craving for. Super friendly service. Of they market the fried chicken cutlet, they could bankrupt KFC in no time.
Are you kidding me? Total game changer. We had the fried tofu rice bowl. The dish was put together with a creative spin & the sauces were delicious. Pair this with the laid back atmosphere & the fun mix of Alternative American & Asian Pop music & you get an incredible experience. Taiwan Little Eats is going to be my go-to whenever I need a quick bite, dinner date or special treat in Madison. Can't wait to be back.
The restaurant's ambient was great for dining in, I thought it actually provided the feeling of being in Taiwan . The food was delicious and the price was fair. I ordered the Pork Belly rice bowl, the sauce of it was tasty and the pork belly was juicy. Not a bad place to dine!
All I've had is some of the Teas they have so I can't say anything about the food. The Matcha is good, nothing to write home about, but I've had better. But it does beat Sencha. Sad cause that's a Tea only place. Have to mention that. But that Jasmine Green Tea is out of this world. I've had that kind at countless places & buy some for at home. But whatever it is here, I gotta have it. Best I've had. Should see if they actually sell the Tea so I can steep it at home too. Laid back environment & it's a nice place. LGBT friendly, has a flag. Customer service is great. I can't find anything to complain about at this point in time.
Sooooo cute. Great bubble tea and super friendly staff. Had food here for the first time today and the waitress suggested the chicken cutlet over rice and the shrimp snd pineapple balls. The only thing I would change is less of the spicy Mayo on the shrimp because it was kind of smothered in it but overall the food was great! Had bubble here to before and it’s amazing, plus they have cane sugar straws so very environmentally friendly. I’ll definitely be back for more.
I had the popcorn chicken with curry and rice. It was excellent, prepared quickly, and I was able to eat it in the great atmosphere in the restaurant. Taiwan Little Eats is an excellent, yet small restaurant that can be a great place to hang out and eat. Definitely worth it to visit with a small group of friends.
Pork belly rice was fresh. Pork was perfect but overall as a dish it was bland. There was three mostly empty and gunky bottles is Sriracha in the middle of the restaurant guarded by 4 very active flies. The tempura fish cakes were good but not necessarily tempura. We had Taro and Sakura milk teas which were amazing. I had bubbles $0.65 extra? and my guest had rainbow jellies but he wished he had chosen bubbles as the jellies were bland and hard to suck through the straw. I’m a stickler for cleanliness. This was a solid 3 star for cleanliness. Four stars for the milk tea. And three stars for the food. Average: 3 stars. Too many great places around to return here. But if I have a hankering for milk tea I may be back.
