Great place to look for reptiles and cool plants! They have tons of snakes, lizards, turtles, crabs and a lot more! They have carnivorous plants, aquatic plants, etc. I bought one pinguicula, also known as butterworts for $20. Might be back just because it’s fun inside!
All of these GORGEOUS plants purchased from the BEST aquatic store in Toronto. Tails and Scales is my only go to store. Amazing, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I’ve never had a bad experience. Love this store!
Visited the store during a trip, about 4 weeks at the time of this review. Dropped by as carnivorous plants are pretty hard to source. Good selection in store but not in the best condition. Employee was nice enough to put it in a box and packed it really well for my flightcarry-on.nnI picked the best looking ones, purchased a pair of VFT red dragon, dentate, and a D. Spatulata. The red dragon is bouncing back pretty well but found it was still wrapped in the jiffy type mesh, so it's worth repotting as soon as you get back. Dentate is adapting fine but not in the best shape. Drosera is doing rough, no new growth since I got it. Might be toast with the leaf edges browning and molding.nnWorth repotting as soon as you can, or isolate the pots as the media from the store caused my saucer to be absolutely covered in algae.nnGood selection but they can be in better shape for sure.
I recently bought my first leopard gecko, Lilly, from Tails and Scales. Not only has she been the cutest addition to our family, but the staff working there were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be returning!
Always friendly staff, fair prices and huge selection of anything reptile. I frequent the store as I keep many reptiles. Thanks guys. Keep up the awesome work.
