My Dad was laid to rest here today. The service was wonderful. The uniformed gentlemen who presented our family with the military service my father earned during his service in Korea made our family proud and honored. Thank you, it's comforting knowing that he is resting in such a nice place.

I wasn't happy when my father said he wanted to be laid to rest here - I really just wasn't happy about thinking about that whole concept - now when I visit my parents I enjoy myself, I find peace and I have some of the best conversations with them.. I couldn't be happier with where they are, if they have to be gone from this earth. Beautiful place with kind people. They are in the best company.

With all that is going on in our world today, having my father laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery with full honors really helped me deal with his passing. I have never been more proud of my father than I was today as the honor guard taught us how to show the proper respect he and all military have earned in blood. The folks at Tahoma truly care about the dignity and honor in laying one of their own to rest and so richly deserve for our fallen heroes. I wish the world could have seen how we honor our service men and women who served selflessly for our country. It is a positive message the world needs to understand and the reverence internally the military takes so seriously. Ensign Lowell Thomas Mercier taught his kids the value the Navy taught him of honor and integrity in how we conduct our lives and to respect the gift our military gives us every day. Rest in peace Ensign Lowell Thomas Mercier USS Laws (DD-558) and may your service be rewarded in Heaven! We miss you dearly.

Love this place so peaceful. I love that guy named MICAH HAYS who walked around and planted flags on the graves, what a nice and intelligent kid.
