Attended a Funeral for WWII Captain finally brought home to his final resting place where he grew up in Yakima WA!nMy husband was Honored to be the CAO for this fallen Hero!nThe ceremony was done with Honor Guard and Veteran Flag Bearers.nIn attendance was the Captain’s last next of kin.nThe ceremony was lovely and the weather was great.nnMy only call out at this facility was the grounds were not kept very clean, the were many excrements from animals all over the place!
I'll go here often if I need a quiet place to walk through. It seems to be well kept. Nice cemetery. I appreciate the history it has as well and for the veterans that are laid to rest there may they respectfully rest now
This has been a great place to have my father buried up until today. We went to decorate for memorial day and discovered they had removed all the lights and decor we had up on his grave. We spoke with the office and was told there's a new manager and they will no longer be allowing things like fences or lights or even real flowers except for certain times of the year. It has never been posted nor were se sent a letter at the least so we could remove our items. I understand policy and following it but maybe the city should do better and notify the people who purchased the plots or even make an attempt to contact. I do however appreciate the fact they bagged items up by name for the families. Just wish they appreciated the fact we maintain our plots and either charged a fee to allow us to decorate and maintain or own plots with the possible penalty or notify the family of changes.
My father, grandmother and Aunt is at this beautiful cemetery. There’s others before them here. Sister and brothers of the Morris family. My father was in WWII. He is at the front roll of the veterans rest site with the white head stones! I’m miss him deeply. He left us in 1975 July 25th. I was a young child with 5 more siblings. The youngest was only 2 years old. He has no memory of him other then the stories we share. I’m proud I had a great dad!!! Miss you Daddy!!
Nice peaceful place. Upkeep is regular. Grass is mowed, sprinklers on. They just re-did all of the pavement a couple of years ago. Usually nice and quiet place to take a walk.
