With a warm welcome and wonderful atmosphere, we highly recommend this Filipino inspired cuisine, it’s so delicious and definitely enjoyed my Friday evening with good company and drinks to a happy evening! You must give this restaurant a try!
Amazing food! Such a fresh take on Filipino dishes, like nothing I’ve ever tasted! This will definitely be one of my go-to restaurants for date night!
Wife and I stopped in for dinner. They have authentic Filipino style/flavors with an upscale twist. The good: the drinks and appetizers were delicious. The Sisig was bright, flavorful and had great textural balance with the fried lotus roots on the side. The bone marrow was a unique twist on arroz caldo. The bad: the pancit doesn't come with any protein and tasted like it was tossed in oil and fish sauce. The dish was a little on the salty side and needed something to balance the strong/salty forward fish sauce flavor. I feel like that dish could be perfected with some tweaks. Lastly, the service was very good except our wait time between apps and main course was longer than anticipated. Again, I understand things don't happen as planned as service goes, but just being transparent with our dining experience. I would definitely go back for the appetizers and trying other dishes.
Delicious food and vibes. We get a taste of Filipino cuisine with a modern twist and refreshing exotic beverages.
Now this is the spot for Philippine food! I tend to review a restaurant based on the food, the service and the general ambiance of the restaurant! When it comes to the service, usually there’s one waitress/hostess at the front who takes your order, brings the plates and makes the drink and let me tell you from my many visits here; shes does the job of 5 people! The kitchen itself is a wonder of teamwork and efficiency. The food is really good from their fried chicken BOMB!, the birria buns BOMB!. Now what I really recommend which surprised me completely, probably the best main dish is the red wine adobo short rib! The most tender, fall of the bone beef I had in a while! Lastly, a big shout out to their pastry chef with the awesome dessert! Now as of the general ambiance of the restaurant, its very chill, gorgeous decorations on the walls, lighting is moody and puts you in the perfect mode to enjoy a good night out. Nothing is left out, from music to decor, everything is designed nicely! Oh and a little extra, open kitchen lets a wonderful smell of different flavours from the amazing menu! I can’t stress this enough, We needed a good quality Pinoy restaurant in Montreal, and its a blessing that they exist!
The rib eye was delicious and the service top notch. The food was initially on the cold side but the restaurant had the grace to re-cook it. Very attention-oriented and beautiful decor. Went there for lunch as well and the beef fried rice was delightful. Will be back for sure.
We visited Tadhana on a special night with guest chef Tom Cunanan preparing a prix fixe menu. Tadhana serves Filipino-style cuisine with a modern twist, and Tom's unique approach did not disappoint. The Labanos with pistachios and maple syrup was an unexpected dish with a mildly earthy taste but surrounded by a sugary maple essence. Very difficult to describe but tasty nonetheless. The "crab fat" I never knew crabs hat fat was a pasta dish that was equally tasty though more on the savoury side. The lechon, a signature Filipino staple, was extremely crispy and delectable served with a risotto-like rice. Finally the ube flan dessert was also surprisingly tasty yet not overly sweet. All in all an extremely pleasant eating experience. Cocktails are interesting...try the SAWEETIE AND SOUR...you wont be disappointed. The restaurant itself is smallish, with spaces upstairs for about 35 people but there is also a equal side basement eating area as well but warm and inviting. Definitely recommend to try at least once. Parking: Generally speaking there is sufficient parking in the area mostly metered but you may have to drive around the block once or twice.
This place is actually mind blowing!! The food is amazing! drinks are refreshing and the atmosphere is super chill!! I love this place, highly recommnd and without a doubt will br back over and over again! On a mission to try everything now!!
As unique as the dishes were in terms of venturing into Filipino fusion, I think the key though ready to correct issue was balance. Ordered the ube colada, which could've used a bit more sour from pineapple to liven up the cocktail. The mussels in tomato longanisa sauce was sweet and could've used a bit of smokiness perhaps from char-broiling the longanisa first beforehand?. The cod and chicharron lacked an outstanding flavour from either, while the underlying bed of stewed taro leaves stood out with the best balance of sweetness and earthiness. The lotus chips were long pre-fried as they lacked crisp or warmth, which is disappointing given that we were the first table. Decor was cute think millennial-spun South Pacific, service was very sweet from a nurse-in-training. Overall, I do believe in Tadhana's potential and would come again to try other dishes.
Great Filipino restaurant. Amazing price to quality ratio. We had the pork skewers, udon, cod and paella dishes, with a side of friend broccoli. All were excellent
