Absolutely delicious! Beautiful selection of delectable, flavorful, fresh Mexican dishes. Yum! Such a treat for both body and soul. The truck itself is a work of art; covered in stickers and colorful all on its own. The servers are genuinely so friendly and radiate that laid back, loving west coast vibe. My only beef is how long it takes to order and receive the food. It would be a more enjoyable wait if they had a fire pit we could all stand around and have a chat in these chilly temperature.
Delicious tacos and burritos that are worth sitting in the rain to eat. I had a fish taco and a tuna taco. They were very different but equally delicious. Two tacos were the perfect size for an early lunch. My son had the Krispy Chicken Burrito and he said it was delicious. He ate it before I got a picture. We we’re there first thing and assumed people waiting around were waiting for them to open when really they were waiting for their food. Go and order so you don’t have to wait in line!
An absolutely iconic food truck. The food was fantastic, we had 2x tacos and 2x Gringa’s and they were all lovely. The flavours where rich and deep. I didn’t think the price was too bad, $14CAD for 2x tacos. I dropped a star for the size of the queue, clearly a super popular spot but we waited almost 20 minutes just to order. Once we ordered it was a further 10 minutes or so didn’t have a problem with the wait post order. The truck itself is worth a look, absolutely covered in hundreds of stickers from all over the world and you get served through the passenger window.
The Good.... Excellent tacos!.. Very tasty!. Had the tuna taco, the toppings where out of this world. Good combo of refreshing greens, a hint of ginger and seaweed twist on the tuna taco. The beef taco had a pickled onion twist and your regular fish taco was just regular tacos. The Ugly.... The price.. $7-$9 for a SINGLE small taco that you literally bit into 3-4 times. Like other reviewers, I agreed 100%. The long wait was horrendous, 20-30mins wait. Recommendation, set the price at $17-$19 and give us 3 tacos!.. that would be worth the 5 star rating regardless of the wait!
After waiting an hour and a half and paying more than $7 per taco, you will expect the best taco you have eaten, but I am sorry, it will just be an ok taco! I ordered fish, tuna, and chicken tacos and the best one was the fish taco. The tuna taco was so different; it was like eating sushi in a tortilla, then the chicken was disappointing; there was no flavor, but the worse part is that they give you a 'spicy sauce' for your tacos and this sauce, is the type of sauce that you should never put in your tacos, as it was never meant to be for tacos, because of the vinegar flavor. Please Tacofino, if you are charging +$7 per taco, at least provide a good salsa ;
Great beachside taco place. The burritos are better than the tacos. Good options for vegetarians and vegans alike! Really tasty, but given how popular it is the line is quite long. The staff are nice and it is worth it as a tourist site in itself.
Delicious tacos and certainly did not disappoint. Friendly service, flavourful gringas taco, and a must try when visiting Tofino. This large truck sure brings in a huge crowd right at the opening 11am-6pm so dress warm during the colder days because you can wait as long as 10 minutes. It’s a fair price for its quality. Thank goodness they take credit cards too.
A co-worker of mine told me about this place, so I was on the hypetrain already. The line was long so be ready for that. once we got to order the dude was super friendly, knowledgeable and had the overall vibe I need in my life. These tacos hit the spot. We got their pork Kimchi, tuna, fish, and fried chicken tacos. I would recommend all of them. Each one was delicious in their own way. 10/10 I wish this place continued success.
This is an overrated food truck experience for me. There was a long line up for food orders then we waited for another 1 hour for our food to be cooked. I was telling myself food should be better be good. There are a lot of cons I could mention than pros: Cons: 1. If you're in a hurry do not order here unless you can wait. 2. I found the food a little bit expensive. We spent 73 bucks. 3. Food taste okay but not great. 4. Their pork kimchi wasn't great for me. I am a kimchi lover but this one didn't go over my expectation. 5. I was so mad they forgot our Mango Coconut Shake We waited for another 15 minutes I am about to cancel my order. 6. We waited for almost 2hours standing. Pros: 1. At least we tried the fad. But we will never be back here.
Best tacos I've had in Canada by far. You can't go wrong with any option, but I like the Baja Fish tacos the best. There's almost always a long lineup at their truck, but it's worth the wait.
