Stopped by for a quick bite…it was really good and authenticity was pretty damn close…will be definitely going back … the supreme tacos was great. The Porky was very plain and tasteless, had to put a lot of cilantro and hot sauce. I still think Frida has an edge over Tacochon. You won’t regret eating here… the decor is nice and the restaurant is quite cleannStaff members and polite and friendly
This restaurant puts other Mexican places to shame! I have tried MANY and this one stands out. The portions are huge, the prices are very fair and everything is so flavourful not just spicy. The papas locas are a MUST. I left way too full as I just couldn’t stop myself. The potatoes were crispy, fully loaded, the meat chicken was generous and nicely seasoned. The tacos, the quesadillas and the queso fundido with chorizo were also fantastic. It’s worth the drive from mtl.
The food was incredible! It was well made full of flavour. Each option in the menu is delicious. We were a large group and we ordered several dishes: nachos, tacos, soup, fish and cocktails. Everything was excellent. The cocktails were really good too.nnThere are several options for kids too and dishes were not spicy so another plus!!nnThe service was great, the Lady speaks English, French and Spanish so communication was not an issue. Food was brought to the table without much waiting and the attention was good.nnThe only downside: you need to deal with the parking. The parking is shared with other business and with the residents of the building which I suspect are exploiting the free parking to avoid buying a parking spot. Better enforcement will definitely make it easier to park.
I had the chance to pick a random spot for a business and dinner meeting and this place was casual enough to have my laptop out, as well as delicious food choices for everyone.nI called to make a reservation, but it was unnecessary. The street and the building are under construction so it was difficult to park. I arrived and the waitresses were lovely and I sat at the bench. Try the Jamica juice! I ordered some calamari, and my friend ordered a small soup but accidentally received the large at no extra charge. We then had mains. I grabbed the delicious shrimp tacos. 3 for 15$ is a good deal. The chips and guac also very good. Our party was there and didn't feel rushed to eat. But the lighting makes it seem very family friendly and a few people had kids. Others were there for the drinks at the bar. Nice decor too!
Food was fantastic, beat most Mexican restaurants in Montreal and surrounding areas. The music, the ambiance, the decor… loved it. The service is quick and the waitress came by often to ask if we wanted anything else. Will be going back often !
