My biggest mistake was going in with the High expectations I had based on nostalgia. This was the first time eating at this fast food chain in over 25 years, and as A kid, Taco Time was my favorite eatery at a local mall in the Bronx. This location, however, was in a gas station and that’s not even the problem I had during my experience. The counter area where you order was dirty. Dust bunnies on the lighting fixtures literally fell on to the prep area while I was there. Given the current state of things in the world while the Chinese COVID-19 is closing dining areas, it was still very sloppy and in disarray. The cooking area itself, was fairly clean, but was still very disorganized. Now, after a long wait for my food, I excitedly opened up the Crispy Meat Burrito, my favorite item on the menu all those years ago as a kid. The Crispy Burrito was like warm to the touch, which should’ve been my first red flag. I bit into it and it was like eating ice shavings mixed with the burrito filling. I was aghast. I don’t know if this was a fluke or regular practice for this location, but it totally ruined not only the experience of looking forward to visiting this place, but also any prospect of returning. I may visit other locations if I can find them, but this one may need a complete overhaul before I even consider spending money there again
I should give them zero stars because I almost didn’t order anything but I love west coast Taco Times and this is the only one remotely close to me in the Midwest. But man, they stink. The hours are ridiculous and the employees are rude and do not honor general Taco Time promotions. I asked about why I was being charged full price for 4 of the same kind of item included in the 4/5.55 and was told “it has to be mismatch, that’s just how it is” even though Taco Time restaurants anywhere else do not have this rule and the sign says nothing about this. But fine, the crisp burritos are worth the annoyance of the workers and inconvenience of the location/hours, but ONLY every now and then.
First they shouldnt be allowed to use the taco time name i have always loved taco time but this one doesnt do it service. The hours suck. They are slow and rude. And they wnted 7 bucks for a smothered fry order that was very small. You cam get the same thing, size and ingredents at white castle for less than 3 bucks.
No one bothered to show up to open the restaurant today.
There used to be one in Goshen Indiana and it was amazing and I loved it would really recommend
Insanely short hours 8am-3pm, and then they still close early. Arrived at 2:50 pm, and get rudely told that they are closed. Absolutely Unacceptable!!!
Ifs a small business; private. This is a normally positive context for going there. Try them for yourself.
A taco stand located inside of a bp gas station. Ok for a quick grab on the run but not good quality at all. Staff is friendly.
Closes at 4 PM. Was refused service at 3:45 PM.
1st time there, man saw me walking toward counter, ignored me, he continued cleaning grill, so I left.
