It was wonderful experience having lunch at this place. We were coming from Niagara and we decided to have a lunch break we found this hotel on the internet. It was indeed an awesome experience at this one. We ordered typical Indian food at the restaurant and we totally loved it. Even the staff were also nice and humble. So many options were also available for the food.
I have been ordering take out and dine in from Taal for the past 10+ years. It’s great to see a local business expanding their previous location to host more guests and expand their menu options. On this occasion, I brought a friend who is also a Taal regular. Parking: There is ample parking on-site for Taal. I’ve never had a problem with finding a space whether running in at lunch, ordering take out, or dine in on prime Friday or Saturday locations. Ordering: We sat in the main dining room. Staff know us well and refilled our glasses and cleared plates quickly. We ordered a Mango Lasse and a Mango juice. Both were and always are excellent and fresh. Menu: We opted for the buffet instead of the menu options. The flow and layout are easy to navigate. There are vegetarian options available. The salad bar is not extensive, but when going for Indian food, we were more focused on getting in on those deliciously spiced and flavourful sauces more than the salad. Food: All the food was fresh. The Naan was constantly being refilled because it was a busy evening I’ve never been in when it *wasn’t* busy, which I believe speaks to the restaurant’s popularity and reputation within the local community. The buffet tables were hot. All food that was supposed to be crispy was light and airy, while the sauces were warm and fragrant. My go-to is the garlic naan bread, aloe gobi, butter chicken everyone’s favourite, and beef vindaloo. And of course you can't finish off the meal without Gulab Jamun! So good. Buffet options: It was noticeable that the vegetarian options were kept separate from the meat options. They have also added egg rolls, french fries and other options to appease a variety of buffet patrons. The samosas are the best I’ve ever had. They make them fresh on site. For 10 years, I’ve only had the tamarind sauce with my samosas, but decided to try the cilantro-lime green sauce, which did not disappoint! We ordered take out the next day. My kids and I will often run in while doing errands and grab some samosas to go. We are there at least bi-weekly, if not weekly. See you soon!
Serve’s both veg & non-veg halal. The buffet has variety of dishes served for a minimal price $20 per person. The restaurant is clean. The ambience is good. There’s decent crowd not over crowded. There’s no suffocating coz of cooking smell or smoke. The service was also great.
The best dine in Indian restaurant in and around Brantford. I can't stop thinking about how great the food and ambience is. This place is a gem. Pros 1 Great location that is easily accessible. 2 Great ambience 3 Amazing buffet options 4 Friendly and courteous staff 5 Fresh food Cons 1 None
Starters are amazing! Specially the tandoori chicken!Could have had more fish options. There was a ting of sweetness to all the main course gravies though, most of them taste the same They have a good variety. I would go again :
I got this samosas from them today almost all burned inside only reason for this review when I called them they didn’t even feel sorry. Try to tell me that it can’t be true they don't pack burned food I'm gonna attach pic so they can see what they gave it to me!!!
The buffet at Taal is really good and worthwhile. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is good. The staff are friendly! Perhaps better signage of the food at the buffet section.Food: 5/5
Food is always hot on the buffet. Chicken korma is my fave. The Naan and butter chicken could do with a bit more flavor.Food: 4/5
Finest Indian cuisine in Brantford The ambience is perfectly perfect they play evergreen Indian songs. Moreover their walls depict great culture of Indian. Very clean restaurant and the service is kind and polite too. I tried : Paneer Tikka Masala Vegetarian Kolhapuri Naan Jeera rice And Gulab Jamun Everything was on point. Not to salty not to spicy just perfect and creamy. Would definitely come back here. Very pocket friendly as well.
Finally buffet is back, YAY!! Great food, so hot and delicious. Server was very good, she was very busy. It is too bad customers not too understanding, and down right rude. Be patient people it's a new chapter in our lives. Be courteous to others and you will not only get rewarded, but also feel good about yourself, tip well when deserved. If you see your server working hard they are all doing the best they can. Thank you Taal for a wonderful lunch!!
