Good vibes only here! From the decorations to service, it shows. Food is an interesting mixture of cuisines that ends up tasting something like Hawaiian. The special is a good mix of meats but I would recommend the other dishes that have more interesting flavors. Their prices have changed from what you might see on here see my picture for current prices.
Can I just say INCREDIBLE! There are few meals/restaurants that satisfy your whole soul… this is one of them! Flavours, textures & all spices all complement each other. Nothing is dry or greasy, overwhelming or under-flavoured. Vivian & her team do an incredible job, I’m so glad we found out about this place, will be back soon .
Not only was the food amazing, shoot, dare I say it! Michelin star level. They made sure to designate my exact level of spice my taste buds were designed to handle. Couldn’t ask for a better experience and the restaurant is so pleasant and bright and exuberant with energy. We honestly need them to design more of these other restaurants *cough cough* thank you so much will be back and telling all the phantoms round town
An Asian and Latin fusion gem nestled in a busy strip mall in the Bothell/Canyon Park area. They serve a lot of dishes you might find at a teriyaki restaurant or Korean restaurant with some fusion flavor. I really liked the Ta Joia Special but keep in mind it’s only served after 4pm! Food I got the Ta Joia Special and really enjoyed the dish! It comes with 3 kinds of meat: Brisket, pork shoulder, sausage. The brisket was my favorite of the 3 and it was sooo soft and tasty. The sausage and pork were also good. The rice and pico accompanied them well. This is a bowl only served after 4pm. The crispy chicken and grilled shrimp bowl was also a great combination. Only had a bite of this but I liked the chicken katsu. Atmosphere Casual and open space restaurant that I didn’t expect to find in this area. The wall art is super cute. Most people that I saw were here to pick up food rather than dine in. Pricing Average prices for the amount of food that I got and for the type of food. Definitely would come again! Service Food came out quickly and people were friendly! You bus your own table afterwards. Other There is plenty of parking since the restaurant is located in a strip mall.
Friendly service and great food! This is definitely on my list of restaurant to revisit and recommend to friends. Family friendly Not pet friendly FOOD: 1 Wings 8 pieces $14.00 Lightly breaded seasoned wings with side of signature green sauce: Great wings! They were breaded really well and fried until nice and crunchy. They were juicy and not greasy. The only thing I didnt really enjoy was the green sauce. Not sure what was in the sauce but there was too much cilantro for me. 2 Ta Joia Fried Rice $15.00 Stir fried rice with trio of slow cooked brisket, pork shoulder, and sausage: We ordered this because the Ta Joia Special Rice Bowl wasnt unavailable until 4pm daily. The fried was served with a side of the green sauce and topped with pico. They recommend mixing the pico into the fried rice to eat. It was very flavorful and not greasy like many restaurant fried rice. 3 Kimchi Fried Rice $16.00 Stir fried rice with kimchi, spam, and egg: This is one of the best kimchi fried rice I've had. A lot of restaurants keep the kimchi in too big of chunks but this dice it up to the same size as the spam so you get a little of everything in each bite. The only thing I would change would be more SPAM!! 4 Vegetarian Stir Fried Noodles $12.00 Stir fried egg noodles with tangy and savory sauce with cabbage, carrots and broccoli - served with a scoop of rice: Our vegetarian friend order this and she enjoyed it. This one of the few restaurants that had more than 1 vegetarian option which is a huge plus for her! RESTAURANT/INTERIOR: The location is pretty easy to find and a lot of parking in the strip mall. The interior was bright and colorful. I like how it wasnt overly packed with tables so there was enough space to walk around without feeling crammed. Everything was well lite and very clean. Something small that was great that not a lot of restaurant does - they had a bench available for people waiting for pick up : STAFF: This is a family own and ran business. Everyone was very polite and friendly. The food is made right behind the counter so you can actually see them cooking it if you hanged around. When we were throwing our trash away, the cook come up to make sure we liked everything we ate.
Crispy chicken is really tender and juicy, probably the best I have had in months. Everything is just amazing! Anthony brings a highlight to our visit and we will definitely come back for the great food and super friendly staffs!
It’s SO GOOD! What a genius thing to combine Latin and Asian foods together. They made it good! The pico the gallo sauce over rice tastes amazing. We love the spicy chicken and katsu combo. We came back the next day after ordering it for the first time. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu
When they say spicy, it’s SPICY! The flavor of the spicy chicken was good. Wish I could have enjoyed it more. But my mouth to my esophagus was on fire. My husband got the special and loved it. The service was fast and they were really nice.
The BEST spicy chicken teriyaki EVER! portion size is great! The chicken has an excellent char on it and the team have great attitudes! It’s worth the money and my taste buds are satisfied! Thank you for awesome food Ta Joia!
Loved every bite. The people are sweet and the food is spicy! Had the katsu and spicy teriyaki combo and the house special fried rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned, savory and delicious. I don't go to Bothell often but will be a staple part of my routine now. Say hello to VVN when you are there.
