Too too expensive since Galen Weston bought it! A simple onigiri rice and a few salmon flakes wrapped in a small sheet of Nori is now $3.50. Are you kidding me? The guy got a $1 million bonus last year on the backs of the working poor! The pack and go buffet is good, with many delish choices. Again, expensive.
I love T&T Supermarket at Surrey store. The location is not only strategic, but the store has a diverse selection of Asian groceries, fresh produce, and ready-to-eat meals. The store is well-organized, clean, and stocks authentic ingredients not easily found elsewhere. I came from Indonesia living in Canada. It's not easy to find Indonesian stuff, but I found T&T has some Indonesian products. Prices are competitive. However, some locations may feel crowded during peak hours. Overall, T&T Supermarket is a fantastic destination for those seeking a wide range of Asian food products and a taste of diverse culinary experiences.
TNT sells some of the worst products. Their coconut milk and cream, despite looking like the regular kind, is tasteless. I bought one for coconut tapioca and the guests were really let down.
I had a disappointing experience with the seafood department at the TnT store on 100th Ave. The fish cleaning and cutting service for live fish was unsatisfactory; the attendant appeared disinterested in customer requests. The fish was simply cut into steaks without removing scales and fins, despite our request. When seeking further assistance from customer service within the store, we were informed that additional services were not available.nnAs a result, I spent approximately two hours cleaning the fish myself, which could have been avoided if proper cleaning had been done before cutting it into steaks at the store. I would suggest visiting the nearby Walmart at Guildford Mall instead, where I have had better service experiences.
I bought 2 crab from the Guildford store and I asked the lady to kill them and she said said no. I thought that was bad customer service. When I got the crabs cooked and opened up I realized all the barnacles on them and how dark the inner guts were and how dark the gills were. I actually threw my money away. I have no idea where those crabs are coming from, but they are low grade and so dirty. I live in surrey but I'd rather drive to north vancouver to go to the trusted Crab Shop.
