An enjoyable breakfast experience with a really nice view. Breakfast was very enjoyable I had sausage with poached eggs what was funny is the menu is the usual pdf use your phone which I was ok with it’s just the waitress didn’t come back and then the menu was prompting me to order online and pay so that’s what I done, then the waitress came to take the order I explained that I done online as that’s what I understood how it worked a little confusing and a bit overpriced as I paid online for breakfast then had to pay for coffee as it hadn’t charged me. All in all a different experience. But fun would go back.
We came here three times during our 5 days. I run a restaurant on Mont Tremblant so I went in expecting supply chain issues, no big deal. The first night was great, the server was attentive and she did what she could to get us the alcohol we wanted. Thumbs up for having Morbleu, great rum. Both nights the bartender didn’t mix the drinks? I’ve never been to a bar where you order a tequila soda or a rum and coke and they put the coke/soda in a separate glass? I just didn’t understand why you offer mixed cocktails but can’t mix a tequila soda? Menu on QR code, the website still has COVID rules and says you need a passport. Breakfast was actually amazing, the server offered a paper menu which was nice. The third night is where we got a little confused. The burger d’agneau wasn’t seasoned the same way it was the night before, it was missing sauce. We asked if we could have the poutine with just cheese and sauce and not melted in the oven because then it’s a bake not a poutine and they said they “don’t do things differently for our customers”. I didn’t think asking you to skip a step so we can enjoy the food was a big deal. We ended up not having the burger d’agneau because the taste was completely different. We would have taken just a poutine if some lenience was offered in your kitchen. The salmon was amazing! But I didn’t know it was on the menu until right before the server came, I had already decided from the night before so I didn’t check the menu. We were completely unaware that there was salmon added to the menu. Also, if you’re able to add salmon to the online menu you should take the time to remove the items you don’t have, like all of your dessert coffees. The night time Friday server did recommend a liquor for my coffee that wasn’t recommended the night before. She did a great job and good call bringing the whipped cream too ; There were little things like my kids getting the tiniest little ramekins of ketchup and mayo instead of a bottle like it was the night before, my kids being given large size drinks when there are two sizes offered on the menu. One clearly for kids and one for adults. Chocolate milk in a high ball glass? I understand the challenges, the kitchen seems to be rolling really well, it just doesn’t seem like there’s anyone watching for the consistency in the front of house. All in all it was a good time and I appreciate you all being open! Keep it up :
Amazing food and ambiance. You can also reserve your table ahead. It takes a while for the food but the taste is on point!
Amazing dinner! Absolutely loved the short ribs on risotto! Then funghi pizza was equally brilliant! We were lucky on our first night in Gaspe that we were able to order out!! If they are fully booked they do not do takeouts!!! Things to remember: - make reservations dinner and breakfast - ask for take out and eat al Fresca at the Barque du Canada boardwalk - make reservations Servers were fabulous and friendly! And, make reservations way ahead of trip! TETU fills up quickly!!
You view the menu on your phone, the day we went the English menu wasn’t updated no big deal. Group was large and we ordered appetizers and mains so we ended up waiting 1 hour from ordering which was understandable but slightly annoying. Scallops were nice and fresh and the risotto was savoury and creamy.
Very good restaurant. Nachos where very good and the portion perfect. The Prosciutto pizza was very good. The drinks where original in a good way. Would eat there again
Food and drinks were very good, but maybe a bit expensive. I particularly enjoyed the cider-bourbon sauce that came with the ribs. The menu includes many local/regional options, both for food and drinks. In opposition to what I have read in a few previous comments, service was a bit too fast! We ordered drinks to get before eating, but the soups were served almost immediately after we got our drinks and mains were soon to follow. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience and I would recommend this place.
My partner and I had an excellent meal at TETU. We went for an early dinner so it wasn't busy. The restaurant is located on the second floor and has huge windows looking out on the harbour. They have an excellent local beer selection, however the local beers come in bottles and aren't on tap. I had the stout and onion soup for an Appetizer and their autumn salad with crispy duck leg. It was fantastic!! I get the sense their menu changes throughout the year. Would highly recommend this place for a tasty meal!
This place was DELICIOUS. I wish I would have came before my last day in Gaspe. Wonderful breakfast with a view. Service was good considering I don't speak a bit of French.
Interesting menu. Everything we had was delicious. Attentive staff.
