Wonderful park! Really nice mangers that meet all needs of the camper. The area very well looked after! Very clean bathrooms but the showers should be free. It should be part of the expense ! I was told full bathrooms. I was not told bathrooms with a cost to the camper. Please let camper know this for furture so they can have toonies. Honesty is good.It was was costly but very nice. Train at 1am wasnot very good but lots of good folks and fun. I would go back for sure. Thanks, Mangers. Gina Tysick.
Sylvan lake wasn’t my original choice for an annual spot but after staying twice in Sylvan RV park this year I am super happy with our decision! This campsite is great, friendly people, friendly staff and the bathrooms are extremely well kept and clean. Can’t wait to go back: Literally so close to the beach about one block away and all the amenities.
Decent park with basic amenities, however during summer if you're staying on a weekend gets noisy in the surrounding areas, park closes it's doors at 11pm
Decent campground, a bit on the expensive side, especially if using a tent, which they do allow! Only 30amp outlets at the sites they should have both 30 and 15amp outlets like other campgrounds so you will need to buy a 30amp-15amp converter plug if not using an RV. Close to the beach. Each site has table, fire-pit, potable water hookup, bathrooms were clean with showers and flush toilets. Would stay here again!
I had originally booked for the season with the previous owners and when I heard it was sold just before the season started I was really skeptical. Change is always hectic when it is unexpected. But to my surprise the new owners are fantastic and the caretakers are wonderful people. Everyone on there team goes above and beyond to assure that you are comfortable and happy with your site. Great start to the season!
No complaints here. Bathrooms were clean. The lots are cozy but comfortable. Perfect walking and biking distance from everything. Surprisingly pleased with how quiet it was after 7pm. I'd come back again.
We had booked a reservation in April for July. We received emails saying we have a reservation and the new owners will be in touch in May for a deposit for our stay. I had emailed twice, as I had not heard from anyone. I called and left a voicemail, but still no reply. Today I finally reached someone who said they would not be honoring that reservation. I would expect that for good customer service and relations, prior reservations would be honored. We had no idea of a possible change in ownership when we made the reservation. We will be sure in the future to steer very clear of this place.
Really miss the old owners. Overcharged and then they wouldn't refund. Complained about our truck being too big, it's a crew truck and a small trailer. ‍ compared to the big rigs. Likely won't return, but didn't stay there for anything but close access to the beach.
New owner is a serious see you next Tuesday. Has nothing better to do then watch you all day instead of maintain her campsite. Complaining to everybody about anything they can. Also they never disclosed the fact their main road is being torn up and worked off ALL WEEKEND UNTIL LIKE 6PM. Like seriously I can't even relax cause they're doing road works all weekend and I was never notified AT ALL. Also no refunds!! Garbage
A very well managed facility. Quiet and restful despite its central location. There was very little traffic in the campground as all amenities are within walking distance. The train tracks in the back are deceiving as it appears they are not used, at least over the weekend. Sylvan Lake town has many well designed paved trails located behind the campground, so I would recommend a site that backs onto the tracks for a restful night. The on-site managers were very friendly and helpful, from site selection, firewood delivery and keeping gates closed at night. The sites are short and the roadway is narrow. When the facility was first established, RV's were shorter compared to the 25 to 35 ft units in use today, however, there is plenty of room for guest parking on on the street. The majority of patrons come to enjoy the beach, shopping and nightlife of Sylvan Lake so additional facilities are not required at the campground. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed the playground for the kids at the beach, went bowling at the lanes adjacent to the campground. When the weather cooled, we went swimming at the newly renovated municipal pool.
