Great food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere make Syl’s one of our favourite places for a family outing! My favourite menu items are the double cheeseburger, mocha milkshakes, and onion rings. My kids love the chicken nuggets! The mini golf is absolutely fantastic too! I think it’s the best one in Manitoba. I am always so impressed by the cleanliness of this facility. I highly recommend Syl’s for a great time and a tasty meal! Parking: Ample parking Kid-friendliness: Family friendly for sure!
This place just has a great, old school feel. I'm celiac and was able to order a bunless burger with fries and had no reaction, doesn't mean there is no cross contamination, but I did not react. Milkshake was amazing as well. We came for the amazing mini golf and stayed for the food. Great afternoon outing, will definitely return!Food: 5/5
We only tried the milkshakes, onion rings and muzza sticks and it is the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. The food was really good, the milkshakes excellent, and the whole place, even though it was crowded, was really nice for a Summer evening. Will definitely come back.
This place is amazing. You can spend all day there. The scoops of ice cream you get for a little cost is unbelievable. Great atmosphere and you can miniature golf or spend time with the little ones on the play structure.Food: 4/5
Syl’s Drive In - Carman, Manitoba Visited - September 2023 PROS: -easy access off the highway in east side of the town -modern playstructure for kids -food, milkshakes, and ice cream were great, decent prices - modern washrooms were clean and well kept -covered eating area to protect from bugs and sun -mini golf was modernized, very clean, well maintained - nicest mini golf course id been to in Manitoba -gift store is attched to mini golf hut if your looking for a unique gift -props and environmental gave that traditional drive in feeling -lots of parking -can order in advance CONS: -heavy wasp population during out visit -busy and slow moving lines nearing supper time Recommended Visit. Parking: Space available for trailers. Kid-friendliness: With the mini golf course and modern play structure youre able to easily keep the kids entertained.
First time trying Syl's, I've heard many people rave about this place so I was excited to try their food. Unfortunately I was not impressed - their burgers were tiny and the fries had no seasoning whatsoever! Extremely overpriced for the amount of food we received. The deep fried pickle spears were good and their bathrooms were very clean.
Mini golf is great, clean and up to date. food was also great. food is priced reasonably while the mini golf is 9$ a person. there’s also a gift shop. certainly worth an afternoon to drive out here.

mini golf was so cute! it's $9 per game and if you get a hole in one on the 18th hole there will be sirens, you get a free game. food was great. ordered the super Syl's burger, the fish dinner with onion rings and a strawberry milkshake. loved the burger, the fish dinner had 2 small pieces of fish, it won't be enough if you're hungry. it tasted pretty good though. i think the highlight were the washrooms - they were very clean, spacious and new
This is the first drive in ice cream place we’ve found that can accommodate celiac level gluten free ice cream. It was so wonderful for my kids and I to be included with the rest of our family when we came for Father’s Day. The golf is $9/person, but 3 and under are free, and the course is very kid friendly. Service was fantastic and accommodating. Super friendly and chill atmosphere. Great experience all around! Dietary restrictions: The soft serve ice cream - vanilla, chocolate, swirl - is gluten free and celiac accommodating. Just be sure to mention that it’s an allergy and they’ll take all the necessary precautions Kid-friendliness: There’s a playground for kids while they wait. Best suited for ages 3+. The mini golf course was fun for our whole group aged 3+, and it was easy to keep the 1.5yr old safe.
