Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

Went for dinner while visiting family in Toronto as we do not have any Swiss Chalet left in our home in Vancouver.nnWe went about 8:00pm on a Friday, just after the peak busy time. It was still quite busy, but we got a booth right away. Service was a little slow but friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for our meal. They had forgotten to give us cutlery though when the food arrived.nnFood was tasty and decent portion at a good price. Having the gravy really makes the meal!nnI can see why it is popular for families. Of course because of that we had a number of families with small kids which did get rather noisy at times. Overall though a good meal.
My goodness how swiss chalet has changed over the years. I would say by far the worst location is in Alliston but this one one not that much better. They really cheaped out on everything, portions, food, employees, you name it! I use to go a few times a week now perhaps once a year if i find a new one in an attempt for good service and food.nAt this location, it was dirtly, the chicken tasted re heated, the bread was good but look at the portion of fries with this order.nThey have lost their way, i hope they sell the Swiss Chalet brand to another group in an attempt to bring old clients back. i will no longer go here.
Swiss Chalet is always a great place to eat but the food and service at this location was incredible! Caludia was so friendly and attentive, so lucky to have gotten her as a server. 10/10 would recommend to a friend, this experience will definitely bring me be back soon!
I had a fantastic experience thanks to our waitress , Claudia. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. She made sure our drinks were never empty, answered all our questions with a smile, and made great recommendations. It’s clear she truly cares about her guests and takes pride in her work. Her service made our visit extra special, Thank you!nn
I’ve been eating at Swiss Chalet pretty much my entire life. Way back when the bun used to be a miniature hamburger bun in which they should bring back the current roll is too hard and when the waitresses used to wear those white puffy shoulder shirt underneath the dress outfits with the white apron.nFirst time visiting this restaurant, Claudia provided excellent service, you can easily noticed from the many years of experience she has been serving customers.nBut I must say, the size of the 1/4 dark meat was extremely small, it’s more like a size of a pigeon now. They need to update the pictures in the menu to reflect the current size of the chicken.nOr maybe they have a new chicken supplier.nUpdate: I replied to them and no reply back.
