Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

Excellent food. Slow but friendly service. It was busy so I assume that's why it was slow. Overall, positive experience.

Swiss Chalet is a decent place. The service is usually great and the food is quick. I never really love it here but it is a great place for something quick and cheap.

Last night I was very disappointed with the service. We were a table of 5. It was very busy, so things such as waiting for a table, waiting for drinks and waiting for food can be excused. However, while we were waiting for our food, no one came to refill our drinks, which could have been done at least once. When our food was brought out we had no cutlery and when the waiter brought it out, we were only given forks. We asked for knives and were told there were none, and they were being washed. We waited almost 5 minutes for knives to be brought to our table. Restaurants should have enough knives for their customers! We all had chicken, and rolls one of us had ribs, and some of us had baked potato. Food should not be brought out unless the utensils are there for me to eat it! 5 minutes is a long time! If fact, the utensils were brought out by one waiter/bus boy and we had to ask our waitress to track down knives. Overall the food was ok; the chicken was a bit on the dry side. What angered me next next was, when our table was finished eating the waitress did not ask if we wanted tea, coffee or dessert. She just simply said she would be over with the bills after she took care of her other two tables. I had the intentions of getting dessert, as did at least one other person at our table, but we were not offered. Yes it was a busy night, but by this point thing were calming down and there was no line of people waiting to be seated. This is not the poor customer service you expect from Swiss Chalet. Some things I could overlook, but as a whole it was a poor experience.

Not the best Swiss Chalet in the city. Food is pretty standard across the board, but once I showed up 20 minutes after opening and had to wait outside for someone to remember to unlock the door, and it's not as tidy as other locations. A good spot for a casual meal, but I prefer Kelsey Drive.
