Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

Dinner was nice. I ordered the ultimate cheeseburger. It was to come with Swiss and cheddar cheese with two pieces of bacon. My burger did not have any Swiss. I also expected things like tomato and onion slices... which didn't arrive. Bun, burger, two slices of bacon and a slice of cheddar. That's it.

Can the portions get any smaller? They are processing those chickens too early. They clearly need smaller plates to make it look like a larger portion. Swiss Chalet needs to concentrate on what made them famous. The 'new' items never taste very good. I use to go often, perhaps up to 10 times per year. Up to now, once in a blue moon. After this, it will be years, if ever. Staff not real friendly either.

Got take out tonight for dinner ... get home and start unpacking it to find the pecan pie is missing crust and part of the bottom but put it aside then next open the salad to find it's completely frozen. The cucumbers are frozen through and everything has ice on it. Call the store to let them know and they say "that's weird about the ice and our pecan pie is small to begin with" lol we've only ordered it about 50 times ... they are delivering a new salad and slice of pie but I am dissapointed with the service. The take out clerk was very nice. Whoever in the back that is packaging the orders clearly doesn't care.

July 2017: Sarah was a fantastic server. She made sure everything was on the plates and was so friendly. The food was very good too. November 2016: Fantastic friendly service, hot tasty food! March 2016: I must say I was impressed that our party of about 20 was all served at once. My portion was more than enough for me, and the quality of the food was very fresh. The chicken was just a little dry in the centre. By that point I was out of Chalet sauce.

A fast paced restaurant in a fairly busy plaza on the Oshawa-Courtice border. The staff is awesome and customer focused and there is an LCBO on-site in case you decide you'd like after dinner drinks! Haha
