Wonderful family business with friendly staff. The bakery has many delicious goodies to choose from and now offers an espresso bar! Our family always gets the kiddos birthday cake from here. As for the deli, everything is always fresh and they offer great catering options!
A nice little shop, really great sandwiches, never got anything from the bakery. But it is always busy, if the deli is full, getting your order, and having a picnic along the Mississippi is relaxing.
Clinton, IA is very lucky to have Homer’s Deli & Sweetheart bakery! My family loves their sandwiches, soups, donuts and cookies! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and the staff are always so friendly! When I lived out of state, this is one of the restaurants in Clinton I missed the most!

Always a favorite of ours! ^_^ The cookies are my ALL time favorite and always make my day! I just recently tried a drink from the counter and was not disappointed - and I can't forget Homer's on the other side! You can get dinner, coffee and a dessert all in one shop basically! Best place in town!

Homer's is a long time favorite. Fresh bread, freshly slices as they go deli meats and lots of fresh toppings. It doesn't hurt that you can stop in at the adjoining bakery for goodies when your done.
Sweetheart Bakery was helpful every step of the way when choosing our wedding cake! Their cakes are absolutely delicious and come out beautifully! Cake tasting was a great experience and the woman we met with was very informative and answered all of our questions.
