Over all maybe pricey. However, It was definitely an experience worth doing. We got the cove suit, it was a beautiful suit, with a beautiful view. The king size bed was the most comfortable sleep I have ever had. The entire place was so cozy and the attention to detail of the entire building was something to appreciate. You could go upstairs and enjoy the library/game room, they had a lake water pool, places to hike, and a incredible stair case that lead down close to the water that you could enjoy your coffee or watch the stars at. They had a complimentary free breakfast- which also tasted amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It was a quiet/peaceful place. We really enjoyed ourselves, and it just so happened the time we went it wasn’t that busy so it basically felt like we had the place to ourselves! Wonderful time that my post probably doesn’t even do it justice.
An absolutely stunning property and location. The rooms and amenities were great, felt like home. We will definitely be returning, sooner rather than later. My only complaint was that the restaurant service was unavailable during our stay, apparently the chef left in June 2022, we stayed Sept. 2022. I don't recall this being mentioned during the booking, but a big part of our decision to stay was the on-site restaurant for dinner. Note that breakfast was included/provided with our stay.
I did not come here to stay as it was kind of too late to book them and also, they are highly sought after with the proximity to the beach so I came here for dinner. The location on the map is wrong and has been wrong for the longest time, despite my efforts to suggest that it's a little road that you have to take to drive inwards that is unlit at night and looks really remote. We made a reservation here and when we got there, there were not that many people but they did check if we had our masks on and stuff so that was pretty good during times of Pandemic. The service was prompt and the service staff was very attentive to our needs. The menu was straightforward, focusing on a few dishes for appetizers, entrees and deserts. This location was pretty off the way so I guess they are not like a regular restaurant which had many dishes and items on their menu. That being said, the food was really good for the price, pasta tasty, lamb cooked perfectly. They did have alcohol on their menu but it's pretty pricey so I gave it a pass. I will definitely return again, but hopefully couple it with a night or two stay here.
We've been looking forward to having dinner at SweetWater Bay since it opened, and we finally made it. It was well worth the wait for an incredible meal in a beautiful setting! Between the members of our party, I think we covered most of the drink menu, most of the appetizers, most of the "mains", and all of the desserts : Everything from the drinks though to desserts get top marks for presentation and flavour. Service was excellent too. Two thumbs up to all involved!
My family and I came here for dinner, it’s an excellent place with amazing food. Our server Michelle was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. Wine was fantastic. We had the scallops, the fettuccine, the tuna and the lava cake - everything outstanding. Portions of mains could be a bit larger but we were happy with the food quality. Our only recommendation would be to add some lights from restaurant to parking lot, to guide the way of guests visiting - we had to walk to back to the car in complete darkness.
What an amazing place! If you want to experience the beauty of the Bruce away from all the crowds. SweetWater Bay is the perfect place to enjoy. We had the Scallops as an appetizer along with the Duck & the special of the day which was Tuna Poke. It was done to perfection. Our server Mason was on the ball. He also made it known that we were welcome to enjoy the fantastic setting until we were ready to call it a night. Thanks for a memorable evening. I’m sure we will see you again soon PS - Sorry no pics of the food. It looked as good as it tasted . But it was half gone before I thought about it.
We just had dinner there last night after a day of hiking the Grotto/Tobermory and Mason our server made our meal so enjoyable! From our salads to our salmon to that yummy chocolate cake to our wine selection...everything was superb! Thank you Mason! *One suggestion would be to make the dining room atmosphere a little more inviting dim the lights a bit more and add a candles and get those fireplaces working. Overall though, a great time had by all!
Went for dinner while staying at Inn on the rocks and the food was superb! Truly, as good as any Toronto fine dining cuisine. The tastes were complex and multiple and it was all delicious. The wine was fair priced. The only improvement would be that they have a hostess to greet and seat people who arrive, as we had to wait a while as Mason was serving a large table and couldn't get over to us. We were also thankful that we were at the first sitting and not the second as those guys had to wait a while until the tables were cleared before they could sit. That is the issue with having everyone arrive within a 15 minute window and two seatings. They will figure it out I am sure as it's not been open long. Service great - view lovely, but the food - the food is exceptional!
Amazing food! Chef Shanon is superb. We had scallop appetizer, stake with mushroom souse, and salmon. All phenomenal. The hostess was very welcoming and pleasant. Service was good. Location is amazing. In the middle of the wooded area with lake steps away. Rustic decor with warm wood and stone. Highly recommend! We are already planning our next visit.
The food was good for the main part except that our entrees arrived more than an hour after we got there and that would have possibly been ok because that particular day we weren’t super hungry. But my mashed and veggies were cold fish was hot and 2 of the veggies, the zucchinis were overcooked but at least hot. There was no apology or remediation. But I would expect at any restaurant for my food to be fresh and hot. The grounds are stunning and the view from the dock just down from the restaurant is gorgeous. Also I heard the table beside me also mention to the waiter that their meal was cold. Very disappointed, I was looking forward to a great meal, but didn’t get that. My companion’s pasta was good and to his liking.
