Was able to get a fresh waffle cone and I had to try the moon mist ice cream. It did not disappoint. Went back a couple days later and picked up some candies and fudge. Everything was delicious and the staff was friendly.
Homemade icecream and fudge on a hot day? Not gonna pass up on that! We were walking the streets of Lunenburg, and decided it would be 10x better with icecream in hand so stopped by Sweet Treasures. I got a double scoop cup of orange chocolate and peanut butter eureka, while my wife got a single scoop waffle cone with pistachio. The flavours are distinct, and the icecream is good though a bit on the icey side there were times it felt almost like a popsicle. Prices are reasonable, people are friendly. While not the ultimate reward at the end of a treasure map, Sweet Treasures is a worthy stop along the way.
Had a craving for ice cream even though it wasn't a particularly warm or sunny day and walked past here. Was surprised by the number of flavours available so it was a hard choice. Price was really good and we got a waffle cone for the same price as a regular cone which most places don't do, I've noticed. Picked the peanut butter ice cream and it was great! Would definitely come back to try other flavours!
The ice cream may be a bit on the pricier side $4 for a single scoop but I can say with 100% certainty that it is worth every cent. Hands down the best strawberry ice cream I've ever had in my life. Homemade with real cream and HUGE chunks of strawberries served in a fresh waffle cone; it just doesn't get any better. I can't wait to try the other flavors.
We came to Lunenburg on our Nova Scotia getaway, and strolling around, this particular shop stood out. There was just something about it, and sure enough, we were beyond pleased. Our daughters loved the ice cream, and I got a block of their cookies 'n' cream fudge which was most delicious. The interior of the shop is very well decorated, especially the two swings with ropes lined with flowers.
If you're visiting Lunenburg, definitely stop by here for a treat! This is my favorite ice cream shop in Nova Scotia! The amount of ice cream for the price is so worth it. Their single scoop is bigger than a double scoop from some of the ice cream shops at Halifax. We got the maple walnut ice cream. Can't really go wrong with this flavor when in Nova Scotia. It's consistent with all the other ice cream shops in the province. Oh, and I believe their waffle cones is made fresh. You can definitely taste the freshness of the cones.
Did not try their ice cream, as we were basically ignored by the staff when we walked in for a milkshake after our early dinner last night. There were two of us, we walked into the store around 6 PM, three ladies were chatting behind the counter, I enquired about milkshakes with the oldest of the three, she just answered yes to my question "Do you have milkshakes" while looking away from me, then quickly turned her attention to the family who walked in right behind us, being super friendly, warm and chatty with them ?. Not sure what we did to deserve such a cold welcome, but upon realizing the way we had been treated we quickly turned around and walked straight out of the store so did the family after us. Sad, because we were really craving a milkshake. No labour shortage here, more like a shortage of true Atlantic hospitality... They get two stars for the wonderful small of freshly made waffle cones floating around the store.
Good classic ice cream but a bit overpriced for the non homemade flavors, friendly staff. Then you can go enjoy it outside with a nice view!
Got the peanut butter ice cream. It was good. Great on a hot summer day.
When looking for ice cream we came across their store and they had a berry flavoured ice cream. Really creamy and full or flavour.
