Sweet Spot

This was the best ice cream we had during our family Mackinaw trip! We stayed in Mackinaw city and cruised the downtown shopping area. This shop has a great location, right off of the ferry dock. We went in and they had so many flavors to choose from. Pricing was around $4 a scoop I believe. For this quality ice cream, that was reasonable. Also they actually made the waffle cones at the store, they have three different machines. You could totally taste the freshness and crispness of fresh cones compared to other ice cream shops. I couldn't get over how they had so many flavors compared to the other ice cream shops we visited on our weekend trip. We would have stopped in a second time if we had more time! We ordered Mint Mackinac Island Fudge, Strawberry Cheese Cake, and these two other amazing chocolate options. The employees had a little hard time communicating and hearing customers, which is my only negative feedback. I would recommend you stopping in here for ice cream!

we were looking for a fun shop since our kids wanted to get some sweets, So you can imagine how excited was everyone! they did not disappoint, Ice cream was to die for, there were so many fun sodas that each one of us got one, Taffy I think is the best in town. Staff members were very patience and kind. See you guys next year !!!

Sweet spot not sweet at all. Very bitter. My mommy bought me an ice cream. I was eating it and then bit a huge nasty hair that was stuck inside the ice cream. It was so gross. We asked the mean lady behind the counter with long hair the owner I think for a refund and showed her the hair in the ice cream. She told us we put the hair in the ice cream ourselves and came to lie to her to get free money. My mom asked politely for a refund again. The lady screamed at my poor mommy and spit flew out of her mouth and I saw it land in the ice cream. Then she grabbed a $5 from the register and literally THREW it at my mom. My mom was so shocked she was crying. We left the store together and wiped our tears with the $5 bill. The ice cream tasted like worse than anything I've ever tasted.

The flavors available here are just delicious. We tried some 5 different ice creams and each one of them was unique. They have a big scoop size and it felt like a value for money deal. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I would definitely recommend this place if visiting the Mackinaw City. I am definitely going back here during my next trip to U.P.

The icecream here is the best we've ever had!! So good and reasonably priced. It's also in a great location, easy parking and lots to do in the area. We will be back in the future!

Delicious ice cream. So many varieties to choose from. Went with a Superman waffle cone with Superman ice cream.

Sweet spot has ABSOLUTELY bar none by far the best ice cream I have ever had. I have only been to Mackinac once just the other week for a few days. We stopped at Sweet Spot on our first day and got hooked! I'll say this, and this is with the upmost sincerity, I'm glad I don't live close to this place as I would be broke and overweight! I've never seen so many flavors and tasted such deliciousness!

I’m not sure who the owner of this place is, but if it is who I think it is, please be more kind. Only encountered 3 nice employees, one was super tallvery friendly, saw no problem with our request, and the other two were super friendly as well working the counter with him. Owner was not very kind, but the ice cream was good…so there’s that. To answer what the situation was, there was an ice cream that was low, and there was more than enough for a single scoop cup, and she told us no? Repeatedly…so when she left, we asked another worker and he was so kind and let us get the last of it.

This is such a SWEET place! Huge choices for both the ice cream and the not-to-miss flavored waffle cones! Everything taste awesome! Pic: toasted coconut icecream in a coconut waffle cone! Fantabulous!

We had very nice service from the young man who waited on us. We got three different flavors of ice cream. Our favorite was Caramel Lovers Dream and S’mores. There was a coffee one that I can’t remember the name of that was also really yummy. It had chocolate covered espresso beans in it. REALLY good ice cream here. You definitely have to try the s’mores. So so good.
