Serene and calm, this gorgeous lake is nothing short of an oasis in the middle of concrete in Markham. It's a treat for bird watchers, nature lovers and or just about anyone looking to recharge themselves!nnThe best sighting is probably, thousands of geese flying across the skies, swooping down as they head for the waters below, splashing and skidding on making their first contact with water at a certain speed and then gently gliding along the calm waters as if all that extra energy was magically tamed over those few seconds!nnP.S. : Those interested in serious bird watching should definitely carry a pair of binoculars.nnI am also impressed by how well the lake has been maintained and how safe one feels while walking here even after dusk.

The park is clean, quiet, and well-kept, making it a lovely place for a family outing or a solo escape to nature. A hidden gem in Markham!
Great and short trail around the lake is pleasent. ButnIt's kid friendly as it has a kids play area and well maintained.nNo parking or washroom facilitiesnSpotted few Swans and more geese around the park .. very pleasent, scenic and beautiful for a short walk for people within Markham but if you are from Toronto, think twice you may feel a bit disappointed for the travel taken.nDated 01/04/2024
It's a very nice serene place. Nice to walk around the lake.
A beautiful, quiet park good for hiking, running, or cycling. You will be accompanied by shorebirds. There is a children playground nearby. However, no picnic place.nI didn't see swan in this season. Believe they will be back next spring.nUpdates: I came back in this summer. Yes, they do have swans.
