We dined here tonight after sampling lamb and chicken curry while strolling the downtown last year. I know it’s been a year and so we decided to have a sit down dinner at last. It’s a cute small place and very clean. We ordered two lamb curry combo dishes highly recommended and one vegetarian curry combo dinner also highly recommended Then menu was simple, easy to order and the owner’s smiles left a long lasting sense of comfort and welcoming. The drinks we ordered were two chai tea hot and mango nectar drink. They came out fast and tasted delicious. The food came out within 15 minutes, and we were all served at the same time. As we were eating, all of us agreed that the dishes were packed with aroma and flavors. The Indian bread was also delicious. I personally do not eat lamb due to its pungent after taste and texture, however , the lamb curry was prepared so tender and flavorful, it literally melted in my mouth like butter. It was that good. The owner didn’t fail to check on us to make sure all was ok with our food even though more people were starting to come in. At last, the bathroom check, it was so clean and smelled great. Overall, I give the this place 5 stars. From start to finish, the food, service and cleanliness of the place is impeccable. We will dine in again soon.
I had never had Indian cuisine until today - and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was very savory and I especially loved the bread - a taste that I certainly won’t be forgetting as it was absolutely delicious. The woman who served us is a gem. She’s an absolute sweetheart and put a lot of love and care into the food. The restaurant itself had a delicious smell in the air, which instantly made my stomach rumble. Overall, a 10/10 experience! I will be visiting again! I recommend it to everyone!
This place has amazing food and amazing service! I've had their food two times, and both times they were nice, quick, and the food was amazing. I had the lamb dinner meal, with rice, carrots and a couple of other things on one of those trips, with a mango drink to go with it. The portion sizes are more than enough to fill you up, I couldn't even finish mine. Lol
Gosh what a disappointment...I asked for hot curry. Ordered the 'meat lover' chicken curry and lamb curry. It came with 1/2 a piece of pita that was store bought and microwaved. Both curries were runny and greasy. The don't have riatta or other bread choices. Not worth the $17.00. Will not go back. Ugh! Vegetarian options: Not sure
Small little restaurant with only a few tables, making for a nice and quiet atmosphere. The family running it are very friendly, and the curry is AMAZING! They have chicken, lamb, and a couple of vegetarian options. I would also suggest their mango lassi and browsing their shelves of Indian snacks and desserts. This restaurant is a must try in my book.
This is hands down the best restaurant in ellensburg. The customer service is outstanding and when me and my friend come we are always greated with a smile. The food is also so amazing. I’ve never had Indian food before and my first time trying it was here. I couldn’t have asked for better food I would give it 100 starts if I could
Exquisitely CLEAN, from the entrance to the bathroom. The aroma of spices don’t confront you when you enter, the delicacies shall humble your palates with the first bite. Settling for the dine-in lunch special platter the best of everything, I instantly became biased toward lamb curry, daal and naan, without diminishing the credibility of the other ‘players’ on the platter. Then the Host Lady did the most natural Sub-Continent hospitality; A CUP OF HOT CHAI, served with a smile … Back in Kisumu, Kenya, I was weaned on Indian/Pakistani snacks, pickles, sweets and chutneys and I recommend you grab a bottle or a pack from the shelves.
Had the Combo 1 and Combo 2, both were delicious. The owner let us try some samples of a couple curry's and some of the specialty drinks. The Chai Tea is amazing! It was our first time trying food here. Super friendly, and explained some of the different dishes. We will definitely be going back for more again. Thank you so much.
Sv's curry masala is a place I will forever be loyal to. Visanthi is amazingly sweet. It is a customer service you don't see anymore. You walk in and it feels like home. The aroma hits you and you simply feel settled and at peace. The food is amazing. I have had all of them, my favorites being the chicken curry and the aloo paneer. The spice levels offered are accurate and a helpful gage. I routinely bring new people here and they each become regulars. For some it has been Visanthi's chai, for others the food. For me its all of it but especially the care, passion, and community that is brought into it. And best of all all the food is halal. I never have to think or worry, I know I can eat here. I can't express enough the value and esteem I hold for this restaurant and the people there. Absolutely outstanding. Thank you Visanthi for making this place and your food feel like home. -Sarahlyn
Me and my family came here for lunch one day and we were really really blown away!!1 The food came fast, tasted great and in pretty generous portions. I especially liked the chana masala and the Chai, the latter is way better than what's typically found in most cafes and chain coffee places. My personal favourite part though is how the service was both friendly *and* casual which made for pretty laid back and relaxed atmosphere! If you're looking for somewhere to pop in, eat and go right in the middle of town and without much fuss this place tops the list in my opinion. You first, get tasty food fast, and leave whenever!
