Worst of eggs Benedict I’ve ever had, very slimy egg, unspiced and completely bland in all ways. The hollandaise was definitely from a mix. The menu is literally all just very simple variations on eggs and we still waited 45 minutes to be served. Never coming back.
Delicious food that tasted great, Was fresh and hot, with lots of other varieties to choose from. Friendly people, would recommend eating here if your staying in a nearby hotel.
Worst service I have ever experienced. It was almost comical. I don’t think the waitress could of been more rude if she tried. From the moment we walked in the door, she made us feel unwelcome. I had a stroller for my daughter as we walked to the restaurant from our hotel. We were told that we could have it at our table only until the table behind us was filled. My daughter was sitting in the stroller at the table since we were not offered a high chair. If we didn’t have it she would not have had anywhere to sit. The food was under cooked. The potatoes were hard and cold. Table and salt shaker were very sticky. When the food arrived my mom asked for some ketchup. Instead of speaking to her she pointed to the basket of jam which had 4 packages of ketchup hidden in it. My mom went to ask for more but the server was already back at the counter. I told my mom to just forget it. If you need more when your done you can ask when she comes back. She must of heard me as she came back shortly after and threw more packages on the table without saying a word or making even eye contact. While I was eating, all I could think about was how the tables were filling up and soon we would be asked to move my daughter. We asked for the bill as soon as we could and we’re advised it was at the front. We paid the bill and got out of there as fast as we could. As I was paying, the server commented that “we weren’t very hungry” because we didn’t even eat half our food. I looked at her and simply said “I guess”. I will NEVER return to this place. Literally such bad service and the food wasn’t able to make up for it either. Gross!
The restaurant was clean and cozy. I enjoyed the best simple breakfast and it served my needs. There wasn't anything special about it. The service was ok, but harried, because there was only one. When I asked, she said that's just hope it is because we're a small place. I understand the sentiment, but she clearly was doing too much which affected her mood and tolerance. It wasn't a good atmosphere. I saw two groups in a row leave because of her snippy replies. I think someone needs a long vacation and another server to help out. I hope it improves soon.
If breakfast is your favourite meal of the day, then DO NOT COME to Suzy’s! My potatoes were cold inside freshly picked from the freezer, my “sourdough” bread was simple sandwich bread, my bacon was very pink read: raw and far from crispy. I think it was a microwave special. Will not recommend.
Wonderful small cafe. Had the lunch special which was the soup and sandwich! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a small friendly cafe this is the place. Our server was Deanna was super friendly!
Stumbled upon this little jam. A cozy kid-friendly cafe. Friendly service. Delicious family style cooking. Really enjoyed the waffles, omelette and eggs bennys there.
This is a cozy little restaurant and family friendly. We saw many families with kids here. The prices are reasonable and the food quality was really good. The only problem: the service was a bit too slow. We had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated there were 3 empty tables when we arrived, we waited another 15 minutes for the waiteress to get our order and about 25 minutes for the food to come out! Overall though, I think it was worth it one quick tip about their washrooms: enter with caution! There are no locks on the door so you might walk in on someone peeing
As the long line of guests outside would no doubt attest, the breakfast here is probably the best. Agreeing with many reviewers, I do incline to say the Eggs Bennies here are devine.
We wanted to like this place… Some of the food was ok, but the pancakes were AWFUL. Ordered 6, one was HARD like thick rubber, the others were “normal” but had a weird aftertaste like cigarettes. We didn’t eat the rest. When I told my wife I was suspicious that the pancakes were all exactly the same size and perfectly round and SMALL, about 3” diameter, she said they must be frozen, and remembered she heard a microwave beep in the kitchen Potatoes and bacon were good, eggs were fine hard to screw up fried eggs, but the pancakes really ruined the experience. Lots of other breakfast places to try, avoid this one.
