The biscuits and gravy were decent but nothing extraordinary. The service however was outstanding. They were rather busy and I was served quickly and courteously.Food: 3/5
Five star staff, but the owner makes some strange decisions. For example, they stopped selling hot tea. They still sell coffee, so they still have the insulated cups and a brewer. It's easy to make tea. Just fill a cup with hot water and hand the customer a tea bag from the box that's already individually wrapped. Or, if you want to go the extra mile, drop the tea bag into the hot water. Instead, they decided to reduce options for people who are getting breakfast. That's the only reason why I now consider eating breakfast at McDonald's or Tudors instead. At least they have hot tea. Suzi's breakfast isn't all that great either. They just bury the eggs under onion powder to give it a different flavor. I'll just have to start carrying onion powder in my car for when I get a Suzi's craving. The drive through speaker is in terrible need of an upgrade too.
I was recommended to go try it out by a coworker. The biscuits and gravy was soooo good. The hashbrowns were thick and not greasy. The sausage platter was okay but only one piece of sausage was there so we ordered a side of sausage plus a side of bacon to it. The cashiers were really nice and polite. I enjoyed it. They were busy but getting orders out in a jiffy. I would recommend going there if you are in Charleston WV or around the area.
I usually love Susie's. They are etremely quick,, the orders always right,, and they are very nice. However the last two visits, which were in the same week,, last week as a matter of fact, it has been nothing but a chaotic mess. The first trip there I had sat in the Drive-Thru for 6 minutes and not one car had moved so I went inside. It was a mad house. Customers were getting the wrong orders and the customers were in the dining room handing each other the right food containers. They gave me the wrong biscuits and I had to give them back, then wait another 10 minutes until they tried to get my order right. When they went to hand me my order I explained that it was not right before I even took it because there were 2 containers in it ND I ordered 3 biscuits. I couple minutes later they gave me my order. By this time I didn't care if it was right I would eat it anyway. The biscuits were right but there was an extra Biscuit in there. I wasn't going back to take a biscuit back. The second time I went it was also chaotic and they were having to give people's money back but thank goodness they got my 2 biscuits correct right from the start but it took quite a while to get them.
My family and I enjoyed the HUGE breakfast biscuits. Service was good and we will be back. Keep up the fabulous work. Its a locally owned business and most all the food is locally sourced.Food: 5/5
Food was fabulous. Quick and friendly service. The biscuits are hamburger sized and delicious. We got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and the biscuits and gravy and loved bothFood: 5/5
I've always loved Suzis, but a bacon biscuit and a hashbrown just cost $10. I didn't even get an egg on it. I understand inflation happens, but just a few years ago the same order was only 3-4$. Quality food, cleaner than any other restaurant you'll find, and top notch management! Easily 5 stars with price adjustments.
Biscuit and gravy cold, not warm cold. Soda was tasteless . Ate inside, not the businesses fault however the table beside me were complaining about our President and politics so loudly. Very uncomfortable atmosphere.Food: 1/5
Had the Bacon Plate with cheese eggs and a small side of gravy and let me tell you they sure know what they are doing !! The biscuit was soft fluffy and so fresh not to mention huge !!! And the gravy was just like you'd expect for in a county Cook !!!! Way to go Suzy's Crew !!!Food: 5/5
Even though we dropped in about 30 mins before closing time 2 pm we we greeted , food was hot and good. Not rushed , great establishmentFood: 5/5
