Course is overall in good condition - 8/10 . Lots of ground under repair but can be expected at the end of the year. Greens a little beat up but were true. Not overly long and don't have to play the driver off the tee, but you'll be rewarded if you do. Pace of play was solid and staff was helpful and friendly.
80$ green fees are ridiculous, its a nice place to golf but 80 for packed tee times in October tee off at 2pm and barely have light to finish it gets so packed....seems like the dont care. Try other places for twilight golf.
Also this year best condition of all the public courses. Great job Sutton!!
What did I just pay $80 for? No ball wash stations at holes. No signage. Anywhere. No beer cart. No course map on scorecard. Greens looked uncared for. Tee boxes covered in divots. We played a round earlier in Tilbury for half of what we paid here. I’m curious as to why they were dead on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon…………..NOT.
Golfers golf course. Requires proper golf shots and accuracy. A lot of people dont like it cause its hard. Challenge yourself from the proper tee box. Also this year best condition of all the public courses. Great job Sutton!!
Over priced compared to other courses in the area for the conditions of the course/greens. Gentleman potentially club pro working in the pro shop very rude and didn't seem to know how to operate the POS process.
Went last Friday, played 18. When we tee'd off there was nobody in front of us for 2 holes, yet we were constantly harassed all day because there was a gap which had nothing to with the 4 of us. We explained that to the Director of Golf as he called himself and then to the Marshall, but yet they kept harassing us all day to speed up, even though the group behind us was just getting on the tee box as we were putting all day. 4 hours and 25 minutes for 18 holes including a 25 minute wait at the turn for a hot dog is not us playing slow!!!!!! Don't think any of us will be going back there to be treated like that!!!!!!!!
A nice layout with tight fairways and challenging greens. Greens were in good shape and rather fast. The rough and fairway edges were dry and hard. Sand traps were not great. The course could use more signage. Overall a good track with room for improvement.
It's not a bad course. I hate that there are no sticks, red, blue and white marking the distance to the greens. One thing I don't get is, it's one of the worst courses I've seen for ball marks on the greens. I don't get it? Why can't people just fix their ball marks? Most of the players here are members, and they obviously don't care for their own course. My mind is boggled because they actually have free repair tools right next to the score cards. Staff is very nice, but it's a little expensive for me. I'd rather Orchard view, and others in the area.
$70 for 18 w/ a cart...really? Bunkers aren't kept up and have weeds growing into them. They're also rock solid. Weeds in the tee boxes. Around the course isn't kept up; it's over grown grass and weeds galore. Probably why my group was constantly swatting away bugs. Going to Ambassador next time.
