One of the best sushi shops in Montreal. The quality of the rolls is far superior than any other sushi shops I have been to in the city I've been to a lot. Very nice service, and very welcoming chef. The other reviews focus on communication issues, which I think is unfair. I've been going here since it opened. The owner is not a local, and yet he is still learning both languages simultaneously, which is a huge feat to undertake! He still puts in a lot of effort into communicating with his clients, and I applaud him for that. Most importantly, he is a very very talented chef. Enjoy :
Joe is an excellent chef. Always tasty and well dressed. You need to be patient as he is taking the time to prepare a sushi that is above your expectations.
This site says it closes at 9 on a Saturday , the door says it closes at 9 on a Saturday... We arrived at 8:10 and the door was locked. 1 person was inside cleaning. They lost over 60$ sale... Went to Oishi sushi best sushi ever! Love these impromptu discoveries
Very small portions, I bought I poke in Cote-des-Neiges store and it was very good portion, I ordered the same item from this store and the gave me a really small portion!
Probably the slowest sushi shop ever. Takes way over an hour to have your order ready, even of you call 1h before, set a time, you'll be waiting outside for over 30 mins. Even after curfew!!!
Small place and friendly staff. Food as good as any Sushi shop.
Doesn’t seem very well managed. Went in at 8 to order to take out was told it would take 1 hour at least. I asked and even if I ate in it would take 1 hour. Which is not normal. If I was to eat in I should take priority over orders people who are not standing there. Wouldn’t go back.
One of my favorite sushi places in the neighbourhood. Always served with a smile.
I would give it less than that if I could. Service is ridiculous. I came at lunch time and they told me that I have to wait half an hour for my poke bowl to be prepared... really? What is the point of going to the restaurant then??
