As Vancouverites we have a large selection of sushi restaurants in our area but…we will be coming back to West Kelowna just to have another fabulous meal!
Delicious classics and some creative rolls. Such fresh sashimi!!! I got the omakase and was served pieces of wild sockeye salmon, albacore tuna, and toro tuna belly. Kojo ramen was delicious. The chicken broth was lighter than your usual ramen pork broth, however, it was just as flavourful. The chasu was a generous amount and not too fatty. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. They close at 2 for a break before they prep dinner, but I asked if I could still sit at 1:45 and another couple walked in at 2 and they still served us graciously.
The vegan ramen is quite possibly one of the best vegan dishes I’ve ever had, definitely the best vegan ramen ever. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options, amazing service and staff!
Excellent sushi with a slight twist on japanese favorites. Try the fried chicken, excellent sushi rolls, Ramen Wonton soup had excellent layered broth, all food wa s very fresh, great service, clean, among the best for Japanese fare.
As other reviews are you are greeted as soon as you walk in the door. The prices are slightly higher then other places but you can taste the quality of the ingredients. We will definitely be returning, I got a Bento box as usual when I try new places like this as it lets you taste a few different things. The miso soup that came with the Bento was actually good miso compared to other places. When I return I definitely want to try out the ramen. The service was great and the food was prepared very quickly but it tasted very fresh. They were very generous with the portions of salmon in the rolls and the chicken in the teriyaki noodle bowl.
This new Japanese restaurant is exactly what West Kelowna needed. The sushi is tasty because they use high quality rice and ingredients. Their ramen is also considerably delicious; my favourite in the area. I personally prefer tonkotsu base, but their miso base is up there with Vancouver ramen shops. Hands down the best ramen you'll find in West Kelowna and even Kelowna. There's a food truck that is pretty good too, but they are only open on certain days. I've been to Japan, minored in Japanese language and culture studies and consider myself a pretty good ramen critique. So when I say that this soup is legit authentic ramen is supposed to be salty, it has some weight. On the critique side, the noodles could be better but they work for this demographic. Fresh handmade noodles are best, but takes too much time to prep and costs more. That being said, the price is a little higher, but you pay for quality. Meguru is dedicated to great service along with his staff AND they mostly all can speak Japanese. A GREAT place to practice ordering in .
I was introduced to this amazing Sushi gem recently and I cant say enough about the quality of the Sushi or the friendliness of staff. You are greeted enthusiastically when you arrive and the staff all thank you on your way out. I have been to Japan many times and the food and the staff at KOJO took me right back. Thanks for a great experience and my new favorite sushi joint!!!
Small space so I wouldn’t bring a large party here to eat. Staff are excellent and they truly create a warm welcoming atmosphere. The rolls were decent. The highlight is their ramen which was rich and well seasoned. Best noodles in town. Excellent take out service, ready in 15 mins.
