Once you have figured out how to use the menu on your phone, it's awesome. No having to wait for waiters to take your order and bring your food or drinks, it just arrives via a conveyor belt, with a light system to let you know its your order - very cool. I would have given 4stars because you cannot comfortably sit more than 4 people at a table we were 6 however, the staff made a plan for us. They were very friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and the whole experience was great fun. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Will definitely continue to go back there, and book to avoid disappointment.
Yummy lunch here today. We used the QR code to order straight to the table which was fast and easy. Service was good but the food was even better. Whilst it’s definitely not Japanese fine dining- for fast and reasonably priced tasty food, it’s a winner! Highly recommend the JFC special and the takoyaki. Thank you Yo Guildford and Happy New Year!
I’ve been a customer for more than a decade but sadly, I will probably have to find a new restaurant. The food is simply horrible. It looks like my first attempts at making sushi in my kitchen. The salmon is warm and unpleasant to eat, the rolls are small and misshapen. The salmon in the rolls looks like it’s come out of a tin. I hope we do not regret having eaten this food once again tomorrow. My beloved Yo Sushi is no more. This chain will not last long unless they get their act together.
I love yo sushi’s dirty fries! I could eat them everyday! Yo Guildford’s food is fresh and tasty. Being quite regular client I’m always welcomed with a smile by the stuff members and chat to. One of my favorite places to eat in Guildford Thanks
The Sushi was delicious, there was a super large variety and the overall concept for choosing your plates on the conveyor belt is so fun!!! The Staff was lovely and Ciara was super helpful!
If you can get a deal or use your NHS blue light card for extra discount then this is a great place to dine in. Good quality, freshly made food here. It's always been fun grabbing the plates off the conveyor plate as well. Lots of options of hot food available as well. I reviewed it 6 years ago but lost a star here because the main chef's attire was a bit dirty with filthy boxer shorts hanging out on display and also with no cash payments accepted. 2016 review-Love this place. If heaven has a Yo Sushi then Lord take me NOW.
Do not sit by the door in cold weather. It opens whenever anyone passes by. Food was tasty but portions are small. I had a veggie ramen which was literally a handful of noodles in a 3 inch diameter bowl, 1.5 inches deep, approx. Korean chicken had about 6 nuggets. Very tasty though. Can work out quite expensive, especially if you are taking sushi ates off the carousel. Staff were pleasant and helpful. 2 member of staff was holding a"sushi class" for some customers so that was interesting. Good for a quick bite .
Fantastic evening at the Yo Sushi school. My son and I had a lovely time making and eating a great range of sushi
Walked into an empty restaurant, waved hello to the server and went to sit at our favourite table, the server then walked over and told us to ‘wait at the door next time’. No hellos or friendly greeting, absolutely no service quality. Unfortunately it is clear that the waiters are 90% entirely depressed while working at Yo sushi. Really ruins the experience. The food is definitely worth a star as it is delicious.
Went here because I have a current health issue meaning I cannot eat a lot of fat and on their online menu it had the nutritional value. Went out for the first time in months because it seemed an alright option. Turns out the nutritional values on the website are absolutely wrong which could have dire consequences had I not noticed. On top of that staff was pretty unapologetic about the whole situation. Also found quite a good sized bone in my hoisin duck rolls. "To be honest guys, most of the stuff is fried" without trying to help think of a solution or at least apologize for the bad state of the website in relation to what they actually sell
