I first came to this fun sushi restaurant about 15 years ago and not much has changed since then. It is still a quaint hole in the wall that sits about 20 people. At the center, there is a train that circles the chefs and guests can take the sushi plates from off of the train. It is a really fun experience and the staff here are attentive and nice. The sushi is fresh and good good quality although fairly basic. I would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant!
Ate here twice in June 2022. It was recommended by my daughter who ate here a year before. Really enjoyed the excellent food, the wonderful service and the riendly staff. Food is delivered on a "train" and not just a conveyor belt. Seating capacity is quite limited because it is a small restaurant and very popular. Located just next to Mt Royal Hotel.
Its our favourite sushi restaurant in Banff! The dishes were always made fresh. The train which carries the sushi around the restaurant is quite entertaining. Fast and the service is always excellent. We never fail to eat here when in Banff!
What a great restaurant! Everything that we ordered there with the family was delicious and fresh. My favorite dishes were Seafood salad, Grilled Ahi Tuna, Fried Spicy Calamari!Thank you Sushi House for great service and yammy food! We were glad that we chose this place. Food: 5/5
Great convenient sushi place for lunch, dinner, snack, solo or in group! I felt it’s quite authentic in the sense of kaiten sushi that goes around we get in Japan! The ones that go around r not meant to be super high first class, but tasty, easy, familiar. Really enjoyed it. Good variety of sushi. Friendly staff, fresh food.
First time eating here. The sushi train was really entertaining. I had 3 servings of unagi and a take out. It is nice to see thr sushi roll being prepared fresh and infront of me. They also have a menu just incase you choose a different dish. Social distancing was followed. I just find it a bit expensive for the small servings. Overall it was quite the experience. What a lovely little spot. The sushi I super fresh with a wide range of selection to choose from. I love being able to see the chefs make the sushi in front of me. Seated in a bar style, you choose what you want and prices are allocated based on the colour of the plates. Would recommend this to anyone in the area!
It's true that sushi in this place is mediocre for its price but I believe it's the experience that you're paying for. They have a train sushi here that goes around a table of around 25 chairs. I've seen one similar to this in Japan but in this place they made it Canadian with a Canadian train. Too bad I can't post my video here. Staff are very nice and friendly, and you pay by the color of the plate pink is about $7. We celebrated our anniversary here and we paid around 50$ and we were full. We'll definitely recommend this place.
Great quality as confirmed by my wife who’s from Japan who said it was authentic at really good prices for Banff. All food is brought around by a Canadian train around a train track. Quick and fun.
Staff was great, the food seemed fresh and was delicious! The train itself and a lot of surfaces were dusty and dirty and it felt weird that strangers were touching the ginger and wasabi containers. Overall great experience! Vegetarian options: A few vegan options, the yam roll was so good!
