Visited on April 4th during Easter weekend and it was such a great family day!nnThe Easter Bunny was visiting which the kids absolutely loved. We also explored the rest of the museum and everyone had fun, including Grandma. It was really interesting reading about the history of Surrey. The exhibits are well laid out and have good hands-on parts for kids, but enough detail for adults too.nnStaff were friendly and welcoming. Free admission and free parking made it an easy outing. Bathrooms were clean and the space is stroller/wheelchair friendly.nnThe best part for me was that they have a designated nursing room, neat and quiet. I was able to nurse my baby and we both took a quick nap nn*Best for* Families, grandparents, and anyone curious about local history. We spent about 1.5 hours here.nn5/5 Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back!
Excellent curated museum that is concentric to the history of Surrey. The displays are are professionally designed and presented. The museum is easily accessible and there is adequate parking. You can enter the museum at no charge but can leave a donation if you wish. Give yourself a couple of hours as there is the main exhibition space plus a space for a rotating exhibit which is showing a Surrey hockey exhibit with interactive displays. Additionally there is a fantastic play space for kids within the museum. My wife and I were very impressed with this museum and will return another time.
Family friendly museum with many activities for kids to try like playing hockey, indoor playground, even some antique for visitors to touch/ sit. Friendly and helpful staff, plenty parking lots, close to many amenities. My family had a blast here. Then we also visited the nearby library. Overall, I loved the experience with this museum and the surrounding services.
The new exhibit is hockey themed so that automatically had me and my kid there. They had a few pieces which included local Surrey players to make it to the big leagues. Also included, was a couple relics of hockey gear but there was also some newer stuff from legends like Howe, Gretzky and Crosby. The main attraction has to be the interactive rink, bubble hockey amongst other things. Best part about all of this for families is that its totally FREE!
Free admission — that’s amazing! It’s especially great for kids. There’s a playroom, a special room for birthday parties, and a hockey gallery where you can even try playing hockey.nnThe museum has a lot of information, but everything is presented in a compact and easy-to-understand way.
